    CUCV-II (CUCV2) Dually

Oooof, I've seen those before and drooled many gallons over them. Boy, I'd like that. Duramax too right?

    One Paragraph

I have experienced certain devices that do exactly that. My old Samsung phone was that way. It must be a device setting or parameter that controls it. The Droid Turbo I have now can space lines just fine.

Looking at a 2200 mile recovery ! What would you take ?

A jump box has proven crucial on most of my trips. It can also double as a charging spot for cell phones and to run the GPS etc.

1985 CUCV M1009: Best replacement transmission

15/20 years ago I had a V30 crew cab with the SM465. I installed one of these as more of a gimmick. https://teraflex.com/shop_items/528ffa7fead962f416e72f87 Well, I used the heck out of that thing and will properly engineer one onto this truck. Makes taking off on steep hills a breeze as...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I am in the same boat as you. I really want to swap out tires and be done with it but with retirement and relocating my family, they are going to have to wait a bit. This truck is looking how I envisioned it and more importantly, it's doing all the tasks I had hoped it would. Thanks so much...

    tow straps how they work

They don't store kinetic energy like a recovery (snatch) strap or AKERR. They are slightly more forgiving than chain but not ideal for snatch recoveries.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

SM465 swap is complete. Everything worked out fine. Seems to drive just fine, not had it on the interstate yet.
