Thanks for the compliment. That truck is 95% converted to an SM465 4 speed.
It will.not. There exists a pic of a truck on here somewhere with one installed. The body was chopped. I have 2 trucks with C&C rears and an M1010. Would love to get one wedged under my 1010.
I'm assuming that the dually is a rear correct? There were 2 axles that used dual rear wheels. The Dana 70 came out of a dual wheel pickup and is very wide. You wouldn't be able to use the outside tire and just running the inner would be hard on the bearings. There was also a 14 bolt cab and...
You may not see tons of improvement in mileage with the 700R4. The 6.2 will be straining to maintain speed geared down with OD. In town mileage will likely increase with the 3.06 first gear. It's certainly a worthy swap.
The pedal getting sucked down is weird as heck. Some of the symptoms suggest a clogging sock in the tank but others do not. Make sure you take a good look at the accelerator pedal cable too.

I have a set of those Rich. Eventually I'll get behind the dash and repin the plug to install it. Right now I need a quick fix as I have another load to move to GA.
This is stage 1 of possibly 3. Right now it has the SM465 and the original 208 case. Stage 2 will be the addition of the Ranger Torque Splitter and a figure 8 New Process 205 coupled to the 32 spline 465.
Stage 3 (expensive stage) will likely be a Lomax 205 case.
With this install I didn't cut...
Oilfield beds are just cool. Don't sell short the ability of an electric winch if it's just the occasional lift. I have many more plans than time and money but I am building a simplistic gin pole bed for one of my CUCVs utilizing an 18,000# MRAP winch.
LMC and Classic Industries have the printed circuit. Both were $69 + ride but shipping from one was high and the other higher. FWIW I got the part number from the he helpful threads sticky under one of the instrument cluster threads.
