Do you take in stray cats also, or just stray trucks?

M939 Potential Junkyard Rescue Need Advice

Insufficient data. Try to get some pics... from what you've said so far, it could range anywhere from "you don't want it if it's free" to "$3k or so".

    Tire Age in Hmmwvs

That's a bit stronger statement than I'd make. I'd phrase it as "the age of the tire is but one variable among many". I've had a nearly new tire blow also. 75mph in the red truck, back when the redtruck was new. *BOOM* and the driver side steer tire delaminated and did $2k worth of damage :(

    Tire Age in Hmmwvs

At least two of the tires I blew had no visible dry rot and looked good. I had a g177 blow that was better than 90%. Age, UV exposure, and heat kill tires. I don't think tire age plays into the off road restriction. Otherwise we'd see it on all the vehicles. Drive everything as if a tire...

    Tire Age in Hmmwvs

A 10 year old tire that sat in a warehouse in OKC isn't the same as a 10 year old tire that sat in the AZ desert. I've had several blowouts, two of which were on steer tires. (5ton trucks). Everyone should experience this :) ! If the prospect of a blowout is disturbing to you, just buy a set...

    New Deuce owner in tn

I wouldn't put 395s on the stock wheels. With stock wheels, your choices come down to 11.00R20 NDTs or G177s. edit to add pics of G177s on the stock wheel, and 395s on aluminum MRAP and adapter plates.

    GL Lost Surplus Contract

RUMINT says 2 major warehouses, one in PA and one in Las Vegas NV. Edit - it isn't rumint. It's straight from the source. Apparently I missed a post -

    Tire/wheel options for M105a2

Recent relevant experience towing a military trailer using the jeep. Granted, this isn't an M105, but loaded as pictured it weighs just a bit more than an *empty* M105. And it has surge brakes. The jeep was unhappy. This was a one time thing to get the trailer home, but even in that context I...

    NHC-250 turbo

We've all been bit by the ancient thread. I know I've done it. The site suggests related threads, and doesn't look at the date. You see something interesting, reply, and GOTCHA! LMAO!

    Motor swaps

I've got a RAM 3500 with the Cummins. I have put 200,000 miles on this one. It's the 2nd such truck I've had. As a result I've done a bunch of reading and research on the 5.9/6.7 cummins. The headgasket is the first thing to let go, usually as the result of stretched head bolts. This is prone...

$ for food, $$ for beverages ;-), $$$ for fuel...

OP wants the old style that are on my M818. 162tcat has the new style that bolt together. So there's no conflict.

$ for food, $$ for beverages ;-), $$$ for fuel...

How'd they die? And why does nobody care enough to mourn them?

$ for food, $$ for beverages ;-), $$$ for fuel...

I have 7 of them with 16.00R20 tires on them. I'm willing to pull them. (I'm going to 395s so that I can use the same wheel/tire as the semi trailer and not go over height ) I've always heard them called "early HEMTT rims". No idea where to get any more.

    Need Help with Batteries

I use interstate 65's by preference, but any 2 decent batteries should work fine, presuming your truck is in good shape and the ambient temperature isn't too cold. In a pinch, I've pulled the two batteries out of my pickup truck to start auction trucks.
