According to the first post, currently hmmwv's can't be titled at all in OK. I have no idea whether that's accurate or not.
This reads like it was crafted with the intent to create a path to lightly restricted on road use where no path currently exists. Unlike the VA bill, this one limits...
My guess says your engine has 573hrs on it and probably still has the break in oil.
The tag on the engine says the engine was installed when the meter read 2.5hrs. The meter now reads 575.
I'd change the oil and go from there.
Been there, done that.

Edit to add -
Consider how this would impact the out of state MV enthusiasts attending the KAMO rally. They have hmmwv''s with unrestricted use plates. They plan to drive them on the interstate to...
Yes, but....
Consider - it got a lot more attention here than the other one did. Would you have even looked at the other one if I hadn't nudged you with a text?
Consider - I can drive 55mph in the right lane of the interstate, and there's plenty of room to get around me. I am not creating an impedance.
Or prohibit me from the interstate and now I'm on a one lane hwy with traffic stacking up behind me and passing unsafely. Of course I'll pull over at...
I cut down cargo beds and mount to M931A2's.
The way I do it is that I bolt the truck side mounts to existing holes in the truck frame. Then I place the bed in position. I then weld the mounts to the bed.
This leaves the truck original, while all the mods are done to the bed, allowing for...
The difference is frequently that private owners have "improved" them by means of hacking up the wiring and related "upgrades"....
(Of course there are exceptions)
The perception is there that the hmmwv are not currently eligible to be titled and tagged at all. This would then allow a limited title and registration where none is currently permitted.
I do not assert that this is the case. Others will.
I am. The construction company that uses a 5ton fitted with a water tank, who has currently registered it as a commercial vehicle and complied with all those requirements, will be forced to stop using it or face criminal charges.
The overland crowd, who have substantially modified their LMTVs...
Looks to me like that very narrow definition are the only vehicles subject to the limitations in the bill.
The rest of the FMVs would not be titled or tagged as special interest - they'd simply be treated as normal vehicles.
This bill gives a little something to the hmmwv owners... (far too little IMHO).
And in return severely restricts the use of all the other FMV's. The primary meat of the bill is to impose restrictions.
I don't see why any MV enthusiast would support it.
Thank you all for the kind words.
Welds are like handwriting - mos68x did some and I did some. Looking at the posted pics, it's immediately obvious to me which ones are mine. Miniscule differences in rod angle transitions and similar subtleties sum to a personal style.
A similar effect comes...
Interesting.
They're dead wrong about the EUC stating it's for off road only. The Hold harmless agreement is only for hmmwv's.
However based on wrong info, their conclusion is clear enough: "do not register former military vehicles."
Not specific to your engine, but a lot of good info here -
