RE: Re: RE: THIS CLUTCH TOO!!!!!
That is what I was just looking at. I bet the metal wire things take the place of the blocks. Take them out and I bet everything will be just right. Anyone else have an opinion on this?Unlike some of you I take care of my stuff and have not fried a clutch yet.
Phizer is in Ann Arbor. They may be able to help you also. My F-350 still has the stickers on the doors that say Maquire's Steel Erection with the phone number. I used duct tape to cover up everything except Steel Erection. I did not want the man to think I was operating commercially.
RE: Re: Is the CUCV alt a 15 SI or a 17 SI?
I went to autozone and got a "univeral" rebuild kit with bearings, many brushes, voltage regularor, and diode trio. The diode trio was the wrong one but for $19.99 I went ahead got everything. The regulator alone was $12. I will check my diode trio...
I am going to try to rebuild this thing in the next week or so and Ebay seems to have some OK deals on rebuild kits with the Regulator and such. The only question I have is which case the CUCV with two GM 100 amp alts uses? If no one knows I will make a trip to the alt shop on Tuesday.
Thanks...
I had a problem with one alt not charging. It was alt 2. I tore it apart and found the output stud loose. I found that the listed metal link had burned away by the excessive resistance and heat. I now need a new stud with nut, the insulating washer on the inside of the case, and the metal link...
David,
Do a search. I put up approx 30 pics of my ring mount install. My cab reinforcement was already installed when I got the truck and if you look in the pics section I am pretty sure I put some pics in there. I am pretty sure the bolts are 1/2 inch but I can check for you tomorrow. The...
I had trouble figuring out the hole alignment and which leg goes where. I figured all my pics may help someone else install. My daughter got out of cleaning her room to take the pics. I told her to take plenty of pics because I thought many would not turn out. She did a good job. Only 4 pics got...
My daughter took plenty of pics while I was installing my ring mount. My son also helped. I put on the legs by myself. I put the back legs and put on the u bolts. I then used the jack to push them up to the proper height. The legs had holes that I put bolts in to hold it in place while I got...
I attach the springs to the heating inlet scoop on the driver's side and onto the hinge for the drop down cover on the side. I don't have the proper set up for the springs on the passenger's side but the truck does not complain. If I ever get off my butt to do it I will just figure out a good...
Someone asked for pics of the mounting hardware for my radiator cover. I figured I would post them hear so it can be seen by all. I also installed my ring mount today. My daughter took plenty of pics and they will be posted soon.

Another thing to mention. When you do speak to someone ask them what law or statute covers what they just told you so that you can look at it yourself and print it out to keep with you in case you get an uninformed officer. If they can't tell you the statute then they are probably just guessing...
I hate to contradict info hear but if you are not carrying for hire then you do not need a cdl. Some states require a non-cdl class or endorsement for certain types of vehicles for combinations but most are for very specific stuff. The agricultural excepts are there because farmers are making...
