I wonder if GL will get back into negotiated sales. I know that they sold some trucks in negotiated sales meaning the trucks never actually hit our catalogs. I called them on this a few years back when there was about 20 mint deuces in Alaska. I could not see getting one or two...but, if I...
THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT....repeat...THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT.
I read during the run up to the election that, if Obama was elected, he indicated that he would cut military spending. I can't remember the exact language and specifically what weapons systems he would cut, but...
I recommend Goodyear GL177s. The G177s have very deep tread. Plus, since they are radials, they will wear better than tactical tires and also give you better traction on pavement (where we drive our trucks most). While they are not tactical tires, they are very aggressive and will perform...
M725: Go back and read my posts...no one attacked you...at least I know I did not. I tried to suggest a course of action. You seemed stressed by the situation. I wanted to make sure you would tread lightly in your dealings with the DMV. I have been hassled by them more than once and it...
A friend of mine just acquired an M62A2. He was hoping to find the manuals for this truck. Did they military produce manuals for the multifuel powered M62? Should he reference both the M543A2 manual, as well as the older gas powered M62 manual? Any help would be appreciated. I already scanned...
Kenny, I posted some pics from the auction, but none since I got it home. I have not had time. With my son, my "truck" time is limited. I usually spend most of it servicing or otherwise working on the trucks. I hope to take some soon.
CARNAC: I recently bought an M35A3. Can you tell me anything about the truck? I am most interested in finding out the year of manufacture, but any additional information would be a bonus. I think the truck might be a 1996 or 1997, but I am unsure and I wanted to get it right on the SF97...
I am not sure what you mean by "the thin vinyl kind." They are the military covers...the same as those found on trailers that are coming out of service. They are mil-spec. I hope that helps.
Yes, Kenny. John had new M105 covers for $150. I was unsure if that was a good price or not, but it seemed reasonable given what GMA wants. The one I got from him was new in a box...solid green vinyl.
BARRMAN is correct...there are different gear adaptors that attach to the transfer case that compensate for tires of varying sizes...at least this is the case for the 5 tons and I would assume it is the same for the deuces.
M725, you would not have even known where to go if it had not been for me. How did you know where to go? Because of Randy. How did he know where to tell you to go? Because I told him. No need to thank me...but sure as hell, no need to sit here and call me out. There are more people on this...
People are bashing GL because, as a company, they suck. More people have gotten shafted by them than had good experiences. For every one good experience I've had, I've multiple bad experiences. They have no clue what they are doing and, if they did not have a monopoly, they would be out of...
