    The engine shuddered

Maybe the lift pump failed. Maybe an electrical connector in the ignition circuit failed. Maybe the fuel pickup in the tank is plugged. Usually I suspect the injection pump but it’s safe to eliminate that at this point.

    Changing the flywheel

Nightmare? You just pull the T98 and then it's basically a clutch job.

    Headlight rubber mounts

Should be 8741441. Erik’s has em.

    It runs, then it doesn't.

You are wise to get your pump overhauled. I like to pull and replace the pump with the lines attached like a big spider.

    Possible registration number?

Looks like you are very close to already knowing what you will learn from the foia inquiry. Internet searches might get you the unit histories even if the units are disbanded.

    Stuck brake hose fittings

It's a somewhat destructive method but try gripping the fitting with Vice-grips.

    Possible registration number?

Registration number will be on the VIN plate in the door jamb. NG******

So I bought a M1070, now maybe I should learn something about them.

Ugh. Check with San Antonio Truck & Equipment, they might have a cab.

Hurricane Advice: HMMWV will not move!

Sounds like a CV joint is broken. Put it in gear and look for shafts spinning at all 4 corners.

    M1079 only moves in reverse

Learn something new every day. Will have to remember this for next time as the easiest repair ever. And your mech was about to bend you over.

Stuck Drag Link & Pitman Arm

If only you could get the arm off the knuckle, just one whack with a sledge hammer on the end of the threads and it would pop out easy.

Stuck Drag Link & Pitman Arm

Cut the wheels right or left

    Antenna/Brushguard mounting bolts

What is spinning in the panel is called a Riv-nut. You will need to carefully drill out the bolt and then the old riv-nut, and then replace the riv nut with a new one. McMaster Carr has riv-nuts.

Stuck Drag Link & Pitman Arm

Puller is on the wrong way. Push on the threaded end.

Stuck Drag Link & Pitman Arm

Time to get a mechanic involved.

    Three lever switch

The only time I had issues with tripping the breaker on 12 volts was when pulling a civilian trailer with lots of clearance lights. Very scary to be going down a dark highway that night and have every single light go off.
  17. NDT

    Three lever switch

Nope they are all the same and the breaker is sealed inside.
  18. NDT

    Three lever switch

Yes, the M880s used the switch with 12 volts, however, unless you are using LED headlights, you will be close to the trip point of the internal circuit breaker.

Stuck Drag Link & Pitman Arm

Which power steering kit are you using?

    Dead short glow plugs

The 12V power stud there next to the glow plug solenoid does not have a large enough cable to feed 100 amps.
