1 or 2 As some know I wildly use DOD surplus for my FD and small town (and have helped may others do the same).
EDIT: Removed inflammatory statements
<I> Senator Grassley has agreed to sign a letter Senator McCain is circulating
asking for all red tape to be removed and any title concerns...
Idiotic but there have been several in the surplus system. Most get snapped up by FD and gov't thru DOD surplus or GSA surplus by those paying attention. IE never make it to govliquidation. Not that many bought by Sam.
There was supposedly a company converting M911 into dumps for export to Africa. I'd be that was a "cheap truck when it breaks down abandon it" deal.
1.) Who is buying all the M1070/where are they goning? There have been hundreds surplused in the last year. I'd hope going into a surplus...
Yeah nice night. TO STAY HOME. I do NOT want to take a fire truck out tonight to rescue any morons. You must be pretty near me (East of Oelwein). Have a MEP004 could make available for a test of your theory/plan. And a bunch of new old stock civilian 3ph motors that are for sale.
Not at all. totally wrong. Snap up in a NY min. FD buy (no other option if have $) modern Frtliner/IH trucks which are way beyond the FMTV in "tech" (BS emissions). Even though expensive to fix. 6x6 FMTV new buys were used in some awesome wildlland fire trucks more than 10yrs ago. But the...

Be very certainly you actually purchased equipment the FD OWNED.
Most DOD surplus equipment in Fire Dept is still owned by Uncle Sam. Was transfered from DOD to US Forestry, who handreciept (loaned) to a state Forestry Dept, who loaned to a FD. No cost to the FD. The program is call FEPP...
I (my Fire Dept) has 5x that we got with plan of reuse ss radio repeater shacks for new county emergency radio system. Very good unused condition SF PSYOPS (1990 vintage) mobile print shops. One darkroom/photolab/typsetting unit and one printing press/papercutter unit per set. Each shelter...

1st trial of new city snow plow. 12" the week before Christmas (none since). Worked out pretty well.
Need to get about 4t of ballast in the back Block heater beats ether.
See http://www.ki7xh.com/firetruck.htm conversion of pump for a homebuilt wildland fire engine (nice Unimog). He has email addy for conversion. Useful info. Should see if can archive in here as comes up on occasion.
Late model P250 used a funky propane minicylinder as a starting aid so...
