    2010 PNW Mini - Rally

Not sure yet. I might need to go hook-up with MilitaryRestoration in Yakima sometime, and then I need to be in Renton on the 7th. Otherwise, I'm pretty flexible.

    2010 PNW Mini - Rally

Right on. When / where? Do I have to read the whole thread?

    Other types of seats..

OK, thanks. The springer bases are strong enough to mount seatbelts to though? I've got some really nice Schroth 4-point harnesses that I'm planning on putting in Mah Deuce, so I was planning on making custom mounting points, but I didn't know if the springer bases were strong enough and I don't...

Yeah, it's looking that way. Could you please send me a PM with contact info?

    Other types of seats..

And what about the seatbelts? Are they mounted to the seats?

    Other types of seats..

How much vertical movement (suspension travel) do the springer bases have?

    Other types of seats..

This has got me thinking about using a springer base and a high-quality mountain-bike shock, in combination with a nice bucket seat. Hmmm, anybody on the west coast got an extra springer seat base or two?

    2010 PNW Mini - Rally

I didn't think I'd be able to make it because I'm down in CA right now, but it looks like I'll be headed up that way next weekend anyway. So now I'm thinking that I'll leave a day early and stop off at the rally. I've noticed a few people posting about parts that they're selling. I need: 1)...

    before I install this transfer-case...

Sorry, I missed this. You know, you're only the 3rd or 4th person that's expressed any interest. I made three sets for my truck, and one set for Clinton at C & C, but that's it.

    planning an LDS swap

I think I'm going to go for it. I've just got to see if I can get someone to bring a forklift or something out there that can lift it up that high. The seller has a hoist, but can only lift the engine about 2ft off the ground.

My Bobbed Deuce is almost done

What are those, trailer-tongue boxes? Why did you go with those instead of a regular (rectangular) bed-box?

M109A3 conversion in progress, setting the standard

Ugh. Tell me about it. I just patched all the holes, scrubbed it down with TSP, and then painted over it. I used a low-nap roller so it's got a nice texture that helps hide all the small imperfections. Didn't bother cutting-in the corners because the cabinets cover-up most of the walls and...

    planning an LDS swap

I'm going to use the pwersteering pump, but I'm planning on going full-hydro.

    planning an LDS swap

Yup, exactly. The LDS makes a bit more power than the LDT (130hp vs. 205hp) and I want to have a spare engine sitting in a can, as sort of an insurance policy. So the LDS will be in Mah Deuce and the LDT will be safe in the can, in case I ever need it.

    planning an LDS swap

Thanks for the tip about pre-oiling. So you've done it, but wouldn't recommend it? Mind me asking why? It's just that, from what I understand, the wastegate turbo is the best of the bunch. I've got a brand new D-series turbo that I had Ken port for me, just kinda wanted to keep my options open...

Thanks for posting that pic. I see what you mean. Everything I've read suggests that it's about a 3,000lbs package, but you know what they say about believing everything you read on the internet...
