It is a sign of poor understanding of the mechanics of pulling a load for anyone to imagine a 5-6K vehicle might be safe at 65MPH pulling 35K.
In another post you indicate you might just swap out the rear diff to make your vehicle move at 80MPH. This is a 4WD vehicle with front and rear diffs...
I purchased the Airbumper towing extension for my slantback as a great towing item BUT ALSO AS AN ANTI-TAILGATE DEVICE. Can hardly wait to install it. I have had experience as a rear ended driver a few times in the great city of Metropolis.
Some aggressive drivers tailgated and then hit their...
There are a few other threads regarding these plates and how to configure.
I purchased one and will place it after I touch up my slantback.
Important information regarding weight and ability to cross certain bridges on these plates, especially utilized in Europe IIRC.
I will search for...
You can always throw down carpet and then use velcro attached to padded foam rods to compartmentalize the rear of any vehicle. There are a variety of string mesh and web options to hold things in place and out of the way. I also use "Stop and Shop" portable collapsible grocery "boxes" to hold...
That gear turns with or without the cable. It does not need a speedo cable "to protect it".
This is a mechanical system, not an electrical system that needs a grounding harness to dissipate extra energy.
Use the GPS speedometer on your Waze app until you can troubleshoot.
See if speedo cable is properly attached to tranny and speedo in dash. See if center rotating cable snapped and replace if necessary.
Uncommon for actual speedo face to die, but I guess anything can happen.

Dictionary result for parsec par·sec
/ˈpärsek/
noun
noun: parsec; plural noun: parsecs...
[EDIT - ZED posted this in post # 18. Sorry Zed]
There is an auction site that we are not allowed to post links to on this forum. Seems like there are 4 available. I have no affiliation with the vendor, and I'm just trying to help.
Search terms:
" NOS! Military M101 & M149A2 Trailer Emergency...
I'm sorry my search did not help BUT I live by the beach with my M1102 and it has adjustable handles... Thinks I might open and clean and lubricate with anti-seize to prevent similar issues.
Good luck guys.
[If I had this unit and it was seized I would consider a soak in diluted acid followed...
Now I understand...2 merged threads with initial dating back to 11, 2018. Second merged thread is now post#10...dated 01/25/2019, where I had already discovered the Behr thread and mentioned Behr by name... Now I understand and I'm sorry for the confusion.
You guys might be right. Still in planning stages...
I had a friend miscalculate water while desert camping. His stories perhaps have worried me a bit too much. Wish water was less heavy
I get thirsty.
Yeah, its a lot of weight BUT I would rarely need to carry that much, as you surmised. Better to build for a higher potential and not use, then calculate too low.
