If you are going to put any kind of load on them I'd DX that strap idea.
Bolt them together with Grade 8 bolts and be redundant on the steel connectors.
Putting the general public at risk to save a few bucks is a non-starter.
Before you replace them try to have them load tested at a battery place or one of the parts stores.
If you have to replace them buy the highest CCA you can get.......the battery hold downs can be modified to take normal batteries.
I would not buy used batteries since they both need to be...
There are several reasons an engine can lock up......overheated to the point of galling pistons, water in cylinder(s) (hydrolocked), crankshaft frozen due to rust or othe issues.
That's why it important to preview (or get someone to preview) vehicles prior to buying.

This is just an exercise in "what if" (if your Aunt Freida had balls she'd be your Uncle Fred) but what if you joined the two trailers together so that they pulled like one twin axle?
Maybe join them together with two pices of metal bolted to both trailers that could be removed when you got...

I don't think he ran away....I took Ellie Mae to the vet last week and she is in the "family way".
Elmo has too much character to leave her in the lurch with several buns in the oven.
No.....I think this is a case of possum napping for profit.......I think the crooks mistook him for the...
