My first EUC cleared in a few weeks in 2006 but I never got a letter stating that I had been approved or checked.
It may have been because I was already in so many data bases since I had a Top Secret Clearance at the time.

If it is a Modification Work Order (MWO) there should be records of what type mod it was and where it was done. Some were done at local level (3rd Shop) and some were done at Depot Level which could mean the vehicle was shipped to the depot and shipped back to the unit.
I would recommend contacting Csmdavis (Jeff) anyway......he can run interference and make sure your prize gets loaded properly. Peace of mind is worth his reasonable fee.
Stepdecks have been hard to book lately....he has a wrecker and can move the truck if GL won't work with you on the time...
If it has been sitting a long time there can be major fuel issues......gasoline does not age nearly as well as diesel does.
The smart thing to do is follow the above advice...get a hot shot or buddy with a dually and gooseneck and haul it.
One wrecker bill will negate any savings you might...

If there is fuel coming out of the pump there may be an injector line leaking and allowing air into the system. Get some line wrenches and tighten all of them up where they come out of the hydrolic head.

One issue is how high off the ground the rear is if you are loading people or cargo into it.
A cut down stock deuce bed with a fiberglass shell on top would be pretty neat.
I would make it higher in the rear and sloping down to where the front doors end...
What I can't get my mind around is that the gooberment is selling parts for vehicles that are still in service for pennies on the dollar.
In the last few months they have sold MRAP engines, transmissions, transfer cases, axles and tires for what seems to be paultry sums.......for instance four...
