If the shipper failed to inform the drivers (or the broker that booked the loads) then it was on him.
When I was a driver nothing pissed me off worse than getting hosed on a pickup.
People who try to get something for nothing make it hard on everybody in the end.
The last company I worked...
Bigger is better.
A M920 with a 20 foot bed off of a M927 would be better, with the three axle set up you would never overload it. Or lose the tag axle and some weight and have a long wheelbase.
HEMMT rims and tires would look outstanding on it.
I learned my lesson the hard way with one of my former M915's.......my buddy showed up in the back yard with a guy in tow that wanted to look at my "Army truck".
This was a cherry M915 that still had the paint on the 5th wheel and low miles since a complete rebuild in 2006.

To part the waters you need a MK-19 40mm grenade launcher and, as stated above, a plow to...
I'm 80 miles away so I can make it up and back in a day no sweat.
I usually get an early appointment and I have a good working relationship with the GL crew up there.
I have an 0800 appointment for next Wed.
I'm picking up some of the 24 volt pumps that sold last week....unless I get...
I will be heading up to Redstone one day next week (21-23 May) to preview and to pick up some items for a fellow member. If anyone needs an item previewed or something else picked up send me a PM. I discount my normal fee if I can do multiple recoveries at one time.
You goodies can be stored...
While the 10 ton is not the most collectible beast there are those souls out there with a machochistic streak that love them.
Someone out there will be on those parts like a hobo on a ham sandwich.
I just spoke to Tom and he is sending me the registration forms and a flyer so I can put the event in my local fishwrapper.
No prob......just shoot me a grid square between now and then.
I have some small airbags that I was going to use for that purpose so they are available.
You may have to fab the mounts, air valve inflater/deflater and the plumbing for the lines.
