Might not be your problem but doesn't hurt to try, especially if pump is not making any sound. Wish I could remember better details but have slept since then.. LOL
Good luck..
No problem on spending $1000's probably 10,000;s of thousands on fuel pumps when they can be fixed...at least for the gumming up/ stuck plunger issue. Its the simplest pump in the world. An electro magnet pulls a small plunger up and a small spring returns... repeat...over and over. Mine's out...
They can be dissembled and cleaned. They really dont flow that much. Not sure what specs are. But usually the little plunger is green/nasty. Its a very small electromagnet that makes the plunger work and it only takes a small amount of crap to make it stick.
Cheaper than new ones!! Ive...
Mine was nasty as well. On other equipment and hard to find fuel tanks I have cut old fuel tanks in half, glass beaded, and TIG welded back together. But if you can find a replacement for less than the labor of doing that I would buy it. I bought one from green mountain, pricey, but when I...
The NHC 250 hasn't been used commercially in years but still lots of parts around. I am not sure of the ends on these hoses but a good hydraulic shop may be able to make them. Its basically hot oil under very little pressure. Just an idea if you have trouble finding them.
I personally do not...
Good looking project.
Its funny you mentioned the rear springs being off. We just noticed tonight that our rear springs are mounted different than each other. We've never had it on the road yet other than around the field so never noticed how it tracked. My driver side has the doubled end...
30 in the rear and 50psi in the front here to. Never carries a load other than my butt. And I don't weight a couple thousand lbs
1100 x 20s on my M813 I run 70 in front and 30 in rear. Again never loaded. and short distance driving. Both trucks have been that way for years now with no damage.
Great video.. All the old equipment does look cool. I was in Cuba at the time and we sent some equipment there. Of which we really didn't have to spare! Never got it back at least while I was there.
Your right M813Rc wish I had taken more pics. I worked with the controlling group for 2 years for...
Pretty cool pics. I never saw one sand colored. All ours were desert camo or green camo -[USMC 1982-1986] 2 of those years in 29 palms. Just goes to show you with military vehicles, anything is possible. :-o
That's awesome. Camp Wilson was there when I was there in the 80's as well. Its where all the battalions stayed as they rotated in and out of live fire exercises. I was originally assigned to 27th Marines, radio platoon, then 1/4 radio platoon, then permanently assigned to Tactical Exercise...
I should have glass beaded or wire wheeled paint off first just didn't think of it....In time!!!! But I have an excuse, Being the jar head and life long career Mechanic, that I am, I twist first ask questions latter!!! :p Usually works out. Just not this time.
Gunny is that 155 in 29 palms?? I spent 2 years with TEECG back then, Now called something different I think, but the unit ran all the live fire desert exercise's back then [84-86].
Oh the blue is hidden under some awful lime green. probably some Army unit color...[teasing]roflIt will NOT be...
While taking apart the parking brake handle yesterday to clean up the teeth, I learned something about the parking brake release button. It does NOT screw on. It has a very small roll pin in it well hidden by 61 years of paint. Pair of pliers and I easily twisted it off. Didn't want to...
Funny you say that. When its done we planed to hook up the tow bar with the M37 pulling the M931 and post it as "Another recovery gone as planned" [thumbzup]!!!! Just for fun, but bet I would get some nasty remarks.
Frank your a riot!!! My son and I laughed silly over your reply. No way will it be blue. We will keep it Air Force but will be Olive Drab[23070].The main reason for keeping it Air Force and olive drab, is my wife wants the star on the hood and door. After all its her truck really. I never saw a...
