    Turn Signal indicator bulb

To just test out the blinker, reach over to the dash, unscrew one of the 3 dash light covers, pull the bulb and stick it in the blinker. Any of them will fit. To find the bulb, NAPA should have it. But, I have found my local O'Reilly's has 24V bulbs a lot cheaper. Have to wait a day, but a...

    Early M35 Headlight differences

Once I am done with the truck, I will make a long thread showing all the differences I found between 1952 and 1953 model M35's. For now though, you get them as I find them. I think everybody knows about the early rubber insulated headlight mounts that could be flipped over compared to the...

    M35A2 exterior door handle

It isn't square all the way to the end either. I will try to get a picture tonight.

    Cable Lube ?

RE: Re: RE: Cable Lube ? I was in charge of the weigh in for the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby Saturday. There were 3 of us in a line. A lady next to me would register the cars, hand them to me to weigh and then I would hand them to a guy who would work graphite powder into the wheels. I knew one...

    Kwai's smurfy tractor

RE: Kwai Looks like I will be getting another phone call that goes like this: Me:Hello Kwai: Hey, you want to fly to (Fill in the city here) and spend the rest of the weekend driving a M(Fill in a number here) back to Houston? We will also be stopping at (Fill in a MV event or parts place...

WHAT SHOULD I USE AS A ENGINE/TRANNY TRANSPLANT?

The 572 will work just fine. I thought I answered that in another thread already. But, unless you just want to throw money away, a turbo diesel would probably be a better choice. Wait, what are you planning to use the truck for? Daily driver, trails, parades, trailer pulling, think of...

    CAN YOU PUT A CHEVY 572 IN A M715?

RE: CAN YOU PUT A CHEVY 752 IN A M715? Stock frame mounts on the truck, stock 230 rubber mounts to a 1/4" plate that bolts to the 3 Chevy motor mount bolts. Tom did his this way and I copied it for my 396. Works great. You know that a 572 is really kind of overkill for the M715, right? 1310...

    5 Hours and $35.

RE: Re: sanding Grinder on the body parts. The ones that fit into drills are about 1/2 the price and work great on the rims. All 8 of my finished rims were stripped with these little wheels.

    Distributors on M715 and M37

I think the cap, rotor, coil and cover are the same on the M37, M715 adn M35 Gasser. The bottom of the housing and the shaft and probably the gears are different. At least that is how it looked to me when I look at the M715 one on an engine on one side of my shop, walk across the floor to the...

    Fenders On!

I try not to, but sometimes I just have to brag about my progress on the Gasser. Here it is with the fenders on. The marker lights will be on as soon as I find a groumet for the wires and the headlight sections are still getting stripped to be painted.

    M35 series question

Plus, you can see the grease or lack of grease for all the wheel bearings. Just get a trailer side glad hand from a truck stop, hook a 50' air hose to it, bring along an air impact gun and a few sockets. You will have all the hubs and covers off in about 5 minutes. Assuming the truck will...

    Newbie cross country question?

The M35 does not need to stop at the scales. You should have insurance, some kind of registration, an understanding of how the truck works and what to check before you start just like you would with any other vehicle, but they are loosely classified as the same thing on the road as a 1 ton truck.

    Loose door glass

I don't have a picture here at work. But, pull the 6 screws off and remove the access panel at the bottom of the door. You are now looking at the bottom of the glass if it is in the down postion. There will be a long horizontal slot and a short horizontal slot. I can't say left or right for...

    5 Hours and $35.

RE: Re: sanding I can't make the link work with the part number in it. But, got to this site: http://www.harborfreight.com/ Punch in #94017 and you will find the part I used. RJ, these wheels got rid of the undercoating on the inner fenders too.

    5 Hours and $35.

RE: Re: sanding I will post the part number at home since the link is bad for me too. Sorry about that. No CARC, just 50 year old lead based paint.

    5 Hours and $35.

Here are the pictures. I also had 3 holes on the pass side and 5 on the drivers fender to weld in. Plus a long crack on the front of the passenger fender that needed welding and grinding. Here is the HF link. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?function=Search

    5 Hours and $35.

They shut down school and let us go at noon for Good Friday. My mom was here at the house because it was the last day of spring break for Colton. She didn't mind sticking around a few extra hours and Jennifer had things she wanted to do. My way was clear for an afternoon of M35 work. I...

    Windshield Rubber Install

I am working on a M35 but I think the M37 has the same glass and rubber, so this got written in the body work section. New rubber from AB Linn and two freshly cleaned and painted windshield panels are what I started with. The rubber fits into the windshield channel with a T shaped molding. It...

    does your deuce lean???

I measured my Gasser last night. Front bumper is down almost 2" on the passenger side compared to the drivers side. Front fender frame mount is almost 1" lower on the passenger side. Running board is about 3/4" lower on the passenger side/ Rear bumperette is 3/8" lower on the passenger...

    does your deuce lean???

I noticed mine leans a little to the passenger side. I haven't taken a tape to it to see if it is the frame or just the bumper though.
