Here in NC when you go to complete the purchase you now have the option for the SF97 or a NCDMV Title. If I remember correctly having them provide the title is like $200 over the cost of the SF97.
If I take the SF97 and get it myself its $25. There are road use tax on top of that which you have...
A number of us have been squealing about the cost and availability of generators for a while now.
Its gotten almost impossible to offer these machines to users for a reasonable cost.
I pretty much throw a number down and don't worry whether I get it or not. I'm not getting into any kind of a...
Are you holding it in "START" till you see oil pressure registering on the gauge?
This isn't like other machines where you release the START switch as soon as it fires off. You have to hold it in START till its running and it is registering oil pressure. Otherwise it will shutdown.
As easy as the pumps are to disassemble and clean by hand, I'd recommend doing that. Getting them out of the machine is the hardest part.
Do NOT use anything abrasive to clean them. Lots of clean rags and some carb cleaner is all you need. You want to avoid scratching any of the internal...
Pretty normal dissimilar metals type corrosion. Waterpump is a good guess on source.
I had one come through with some serious cooling system issues. The coolant had jelled.
I did a couple of plain water flushes then ran some cooling system cleaner through ti. When I rinsed it out, everything...
Going to see if I can repair this thing. The wire was jacked up sideways and twisted between the starter and solenoid which looks to have pulled all the slack out of it. I think that is the root cause of the problem.
The wire looks plenty long to get back on the tab and reach the solenoid...
I'm working on a 831 that needs a starter. I have a couple of parts machines and can pull one if necessary but I was going to see if anyone has a source for one that isn't $350.
I can find the 12v versions of the starter all day for like $60 but the 24v version is stupid expensive.
I get...
Priority parts in my opinion are filters, fluids, and a selection of all the rubber stuff - Belts and hoses. Fuel pump.
fuel leaks are what I find most the common problem on these machines.
if you run the machine a lot then I would recommend having a water pump. They tend to start failing...
