If its something that was not prototype, then there will be a data plate someplace on the frame or fenders that will tell you what it is. Look on the right fender first.

You could also disconnect one pump. Run the set for a few hours. Then reverse the process. Simply disconnect the first pump. and hook the second pump up. Run it a good long while. And with a load if possible.
I used to fix Turbines. When we had aligned the main gen and Turbine engine properly, (and sometimes it took a half hour, or on a bad day, 4-5 hours) you could stand a nickle on its side and it would stay RIGHT there. The MEP-802A was in a different universe for me!!

Also, the bracket that holds the meter to the panel is a spot that requires attention sometimes. Its the GROUND. There is even a PS Magazine article about it. The bracket has to be "Just Right" to insure a good ground.
