Artisan makes some really nice switch panels that mount below the dash. Available in 1, 2, or 3 switch sizes. They use the indicator lights and original paddle switches in the truck. Pictures forthcoming.

With my (3) M923 A0/A1/A3 trucks, I get 7 mpg consistently, unloaded just cruising around and interstate driving. I want to try a set of manual lockup hubs one day, to see if that will improve mileage.

Make sure your hood is grounded and the rest of the truck has good grounds. If you have bad grounds and install LED headlights, they will fail due to weak grounding.

Very small torch, and a handful of candles. Heat the area up, then shut off the torch, and push the candles into the heated area until cold or out of candles. The wax will penetrate down into the splines or threads and lubricate the stuck area.

Check for shutterstat failure. A failed shuttersat allows air pressure from the on board air system to leak into your cooling system thru the bad shutterstat and force the coolant out of the overflow tank. You will swear it is a bad head gasket. Had this happen on one of my M923, it puked...

If a M809 series trans bolts in, then those can be had for less than $1k new in the can. Original seats are plentiful. If you desire a higher top end, consider super single tires, as you will probably need newer tires in order to be safe anyways with a vehicle of that vintage. Welcome aboard!!!
