Hurricane Advice: HMMWV will not move!

simple. the low barometric pressure of the storm affected the flux capacitor. Glad you are ok. We are hoping here in the Big Easy to avoid one of those wind storm things this year. We typically prefer our hurricanes at Pat O Briens in the quarter.

    89 m998 half shaft removal

OP is in Spain Welcome. Might be best to try to find a surplus axle or bring assembly to a parts store to see if they can help find a universal boot.

Hmmwv parts did not have a market and were practically given away or scrapped as only the lucky first ones who had USMC trucks needed them. When you got some in a mixed GL lot, they were considered extra "garbage" goodies. Even when they first started selling the trucks again things were...

M149a1 restoration project for a local fire department

I plumbed in a short nipple extension and a gate valve. Real easy to pull handle to drain. I also have a pvc plug hand tight in the other side to unscrew by hand easily to keep the mud daubers and like out.

not off hand but slop on anti seize on the shaft through the frame and liberally coat both sides of the washer. More slop/goop the better. Also liberally apply to the 2 pins that engage. You will thank me down the road.....

    HMMWV Tailgate Armor Panel

I can't speak to the specs but installed one I got off ebay and they are not real thick (maybe a 1/16-1/8 ) or very heavy. They typically have a sound barrier/insulation inbetween the tailgate and the armour plus mounting holes and straps for the max ax kit. They probably offer protection...

    M998A1 Front sway bar

Vehicles with high center of gravity are prone to rollover as they are higher mass off the ground. Low center of gravity brings it closer to the ground and more stable.
