I have a class 530B Deuce fire truck that looks just like the one in the original poster's avatar, is it really rare? I thought the 530C model with deluge gun was the rare one. My truck runs great and is supposed to pump water, anyone want to make an offer? JT
If you buy a set of lockout hubs for the front axle, and install the 2 drive flanges that you had to remove to install the lockout hubs, on the forward tandem rear, you will change to behavioral characteristics of you truck a lot. And, your fuel consumption will go down. And, your front tire...
Is it going to be produced or is it a concept vehicle? Can't they make it with enough bed to actuelly do something with. How about they come back out with the J4000 with a Cummins for power? I would buy a new truck if they did that. Otherwise, when the Dodge dies it's back to the '84 CUCV. JT out
It is an 8 foot Meyers on a Fisher minit mount setup. It is powered by a Fisher belt drive hydraulic plow pump, left side of motor, mounted to line up with the compressor pulley, then installed a longer belt to run both comp and plow pump. Ficher single lever control in cab to angle and hoist...
And to think I just said something real nice about how I got to know you this summer and we are about like brothers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Then I even told him you are the salt of the earth and with guys like you in America we will always be the greatest Nation on this earth. and blah blah blah. Can't...
BFR, the tires Surfdog showed us are 12.00R 20s. They are HUGE compared to 12.5R20s. As old english tire sizes go, 9.00, 10.00, 11.00, 12.00 etc. The point 5 sizes are all different and smaller than their point zero counterparts. His 12.00R 20s are just a bit less than 45 inches tall. JT out
I am in the process of getting the mounting hardware for the winter fronts, I will be able to supply it if your truck doesn't already have it installed. JT out
What DogHead said, ditto. Even in temperate climates, a good fuel additive will lubricate your injection system and improve cetane rating. I personnaly always use Power Service, white jug, I buy by the case. Tractor Supply Co. runs lots of specials on it up here around me. Every time I get an...
This post brings us back to David Doyle and EDTA, a chemical that removes sulfate from the lead plates in a 6TL battery. I have treated two batteries with EDTA and they are both still starting trucks. The rub is that it is a lot of work. If a person had a 5 gallon paint shaker, it would be easy...
Yes, turn the cup over, it will help. The correct filter is NSN2910-00-790-2300. Hard to find.
You could get my primary spin-on adaptor and end the problem. see the website below. JT out
Maradyne makes great heaters, water heated, 24 volt DC, 3 different sizes. Check at any Ag or Construction equipment dealer, they should have a catalog called Heavy Duty Parts, toward the back of the book are the Maradyne heaters. I use the 5000 model in Deuces, has defrost ports too. JT
I would mix WVO 0% , RUG 0% , and winterized Diesel 100%. If you need, or care about your engine, just use what is called for, you do not live in a climate condusive to alternative fuels and a 6.2 will not live long with any amount of gasoline in it. Just ask around any diesel mechanic from The...
I advise against threadlocker on the hex nipples, there is no trouble with the nipple coming unscrewed. The settlement into the gasket is the situation, and you certainly want to be able to retorque if they do ever begin to seep. I have no chance of knowing who did and who didn't, actually use...
