I just use LOTS of moth balls in everything I care about. They always work. I store a lot of canvas and can't afford to have it ruined. I spread 2 boxes twice a year in my canvas bus. Just my humble opinion. JT out
Actually, it is a fiber gasket. It is the correct gasket for the Multifuel filter base. My instruction sheet advises the customer to retorque the hex nipple to 60 Ft. Lbs at the next filter change. That takes care of any torque relief due to the adaptor settling in to the gasket..... The...
Try to buy the upgraded horn button kit. It has a sealed horn button that fits in a spacer that you just screw in place of the old larger multi part horn button kit. Check all the dealers, someone should have one for you,. JT out
I have a 915A1 with 147,000 miles, that's just broke in........ My Freightliner w/ N14 Cummins has 1.16 million miles and still runs out perfect. Expect the 915A1 can do the same, it better or I'll backfill it. JT
I wish you would wait til June 2012 so we could do it together. Our bunch did a cross country on US Rt. 20 in 2008 and are now going to Alaska in 2012, in June so we don't get into Delta Junction snow storms in August. I lived there in '74 and '75 and I know when the snow comes. Take care...
I'm really glad to see some of you are actually moving the axle back a little and lengthing the driveshaft. I did this from the start and I was the first to ever show pics of the JATonka XM35A4 4x4 conversion Deuce. The people who wouldn't spend to lengthen the drive shaft never got the truck...
The horizontal exhaust kits have to be out there somewhere. In a warehouse waiting for us to decide we want peace and quiet again. Tree hugger folks complained about the convoy smoking out all the beetles, so they stuck 'em up through the fenders. figure that? JT out
I know that Zeligson truck and equipment made those windshields years ago, are you guys sure that Memphis made them too? Zeligson was a major player in the oilfield/utility contractor arena in the 50s,60s, and 70s along with Memphis, SECO,etc. JT out
I know where you can get the shift boots.
Maradyne Corp makes lots of different heaters in 24 volt. Their products and prices are in large brochures at lots of Heavy Construction Equipment dealers. In our state, it is the Kobelco dealer in Albany
Maradyne is the company who owns...
Recovery4x4 has this one covered, just get ahold of Tom Bauer at M35tom on this site and buy his correct head gaskets. Then you need to buy a cheap engine gasket set to get rest of the gaskets needed to do a head job. Don't forget to get your heads planed while you have them off. They are never...
Also, Bruce, we have Breton Industries in Amsterdam, NY. They are the American company that supplies cargo covers and cab covers to the military. They will sell to the public. They started in World War II and still have the drawings for all canvas since that time. As far as fixing vinyl cargo...
The hardware is available at the Ace Hardware stores, probably at True Value too. 3 snap button male sides and 2 turn lock males like on the Deuce soft tops. I can include them in the Winter front price for extra money or you can get them like I did with no middleman profit. Some of your...
gasket for primary is 5131 Napa. Gasket for secondary is 5070 Napa. or you can change to spin-on fuel filters and be done with the canisters. See below.
I have an M108 Light crane that has a military upgrade on the brake system, t uses 2 trailer air pack/master cylinder units and a split brake line system for front and rear. Air packs are actuated by a suspended air brake pedal/valve out of a 900 series. This truck will put you into the...
