    Weird steering isssue prize

Your axle u-joint seized up. Even with lockout hubs and 4WD disengaged, the axles will turn a bit and when it comes to where the joint is seized, and you try to steer, it WON"T steer no matter what. Then, the shaft turns a bit and you can steer. Ask me how I know this........... hint, M1028...

    Trans Oil Overview 3053A

Back in the old days when I ran trucks with Spicer 5 speeds, the shops all told me to use 50 Wt motor oil in them cause 90 Wt. gear oil was too heavy. Just a thought. JT out

    250 Cummins manual shutoff!

I am looking for the source of the emergency shut down valve for one of my friend's trucks. I would like to bypass the electric shutoff too. It is a real problem if you are trying to pull start an 800 series with DEAD batteries. I know about the screw in the front of the solenoid, it ain't that...

    Size diff. M54 & 800/900 series 5T

The 900 series is quite a bit different, agreed, wider cab, wider windshields, now specific left and right. completely different hood arrangement, and I really think different cab doors. On that, I may get corrected. JT out

    Snow plows

To answer some questions on previous posts: Surfdog has a deuce with 11.00x20 singles from the military, therefore, no duals running a new track in the snow. All real plow jockeys pretty much know that one track in the snow is the way to go. I install what the customer wants, if he wants new...

3rd Gear High Or 5th Gear Lo

hey, whatever keeps the RPMs over 1500 works for me. as far as splitting, and I have a lot of years experience splitting 5x4 twin sticks, the only split I make in M35A2 multifuel trucks, is 4th low to 3rd high. In other words, on a hard pull or heavy load, 2nd low, 3rd low, 4th low, 3rd high...

    Spin on oil filter kit

I am only joining this thread to post corrections to a previous poster's comments. It was Hercules engine co. who created the spin-ons for Oliver Tractor and White Tractor co. They spec'd the Wix 51458 filter, with a flow rate of 11-13 GPM, which is over the design of the Multifuel Oil pump at...

    new Deuce shifting problems

no one answered as to whether the troublesome downshifting is with a transmission having a PTO on it. a PTO that is not shimmed properly could have an effect on the shifting I agree with the previous poster. If there is no PTO involved, I would check the gear oil for chips and/or filings as...

    Need front springs and bolts?????

Well, here goes......... I know I'm looking for trouble on this one. The M105 springs are what I prefer for my Deuce conversions to 4x4 trucks. The springs sit out further on the axle for stability, they have the same number of leaves, the same width, and same thickness per leaf as the deuce...
