Thanks juanprado, but the materials are not heavy and I have to make use of what I already have.
Here is an update. The trailer tongue gets lengthened and made removable, so could pull by the original ring. I used the cut off ring from my 1101 trailer. It's welded inside and out with 7018...
I'm not ready to finish my brake lines and didn't want it acting ( moving the actuator) against a dry cylinder. It has near no play to get a head start shearing the bolt off.
The cost of the bond is not its face value. For example I carry a $10k electricians bond and it costs $100 a year. Cost of the title bond is 15/1000.
If it cost $5,000 like tw proposed, then you need a 7,500 bond and the cost is 112.50. That is less than the sales tax in Vermont. Sales tax...
No, I cannot elaborate. I'll retract my assertion that you committed fraud but the devil is in the details. The scheme you suggest for Maxman, close to what you did, is to bypass the bonded title system and seems really risky when a bond costs $15 per $1000 value.
There is a bolt that I put in to lock the brake out. It's easy to drill if you disassemble the brake unit. While inside, straighten the bent pieces that they all seem to have. Photo is not really very easy to see the bolt, but if interested, I can provide details.
So you bought plates and had your true and correct address from another state on the application, which then would be on the title, and you didn't use a Washington State address. Really. That worked for you? I really wouldn't be so forthright with that act on a public forum or suggest others...
You asked Maxman and you were given genuine answers. Your lucky the thread was even kept open once technowenie suggested fraud. Getting a title in one state that you don't live in to skirt Washington laws, at least in the past, these posts were banned.
Not once have you answered my questions...
Is the bolt pattern a 1" bolt, 10 x 11.25" bc, I have some 20" x10" rims, new. They are steel Hendersons I think.
I was thinking about using the outer ring from sand trail tires rim and make them 11" but have not pulled the trigger on the little bit of machining needed to do that .
I have several rims that appear to have the same offset as the HEMTT rims and they have 1" holes on 11.25 bc. They have the same 8 5/8" center as my 5 ton rims.
While I know our 5 tons are considered bolt centering, is the hub close to the wheel size to act as hub centering? I read also about...
The reason they don't get an SF97 is that, at least in Indiana, with a police vin inspection, they issue title from a bill of sale. Did that 15 times and never once did they say I needed the SF97. They are raking in the tax money from sale of this truck....paid to Gl, paid to Vermont and paid...
Would be easy to connect but you have two axis to support. I have bridge steel that could make a 2 ton bed.
Not everyone can say they bought a bridge.....I did.....90 tons.
A bobbed deuce. Unless an A3, it has 1 3/8" cups in the wheel cylinders. The A3 uses a 1 1/2" cylinder on the front and has1 3/8" on the back.
Thing is, the 11/2" wheel cylinders will fit with a small rod length modification on both front and back on the deuce and since the back axle is...
I'm making some modifications to my M1061 for hauling sawdust, mainly behind my m929A2. I don't want to make it into a dump but I still want a way to offload that is not my back operating a shovel, although bagging it up directly from the trailer is an option. I'm leaning toward a mechanism to...
I think someone even made a bed and attached with the kingpin, so removable.
These things are really heavy....guess 500#. Top plate is 3/8 and bottom is 1/2. It's about 36" x 48".
State will keep the copy of BOS so the chances a real owner asserting against a buyer getting any traction seem remote. Hang out your shingle....as a vendor here, please.
Thank you VertigoPilot.....that is much clearer. I think this could be a common problem, especially when the owner never titled it and can't find the BOS .
That works too.
A trailer that high on a pintle has to be prone to rolling when it's loaded to the front. Wes seems to prove the roll issue. as a fifth wheel, it would be much more stable and guys with 931s are looking for things to pull. Couple that with new duals and you could have a...
My Globe was too much for my 929, I though....., but man what a candidate for a gooseneck if you have a 931. I have some of the heavy trailer hitch plates that would work perfect. Guys with 931s should be all over these trailers.
