None or very little metal prep rust preventer

Just saw this yesterday.. Eastwood makes a inner frame rust sealer in a spray can.. Just search, Rust Encapuslator and you’ll see plenty of options.. just be careful of application... some must be used on complete rust only, otherwise they will never harden..

Ahab, you say “plain Virginia 201st”, cuz that is curious to me because the “W” on the stenciled markings is almost hand written. The rest of the numbers and letters are clearly sprayed through a stencil.. FWIW..

I've been researching this also. Additives like ATF fluid to help seals and clean pump. I've seen these all mentioned : WVO, ATF, Mystery Oil, 2 Stroke Oil. Seems like something I need to research but I think some benefits are there for some type of additive to ULSD...

    question with date code

Well, unless all the researchers are wrong, then Id say its 2010. My date code is (12 05 M), and that dates pressumably to Dec, 5th, 2005. And guessing since my m998 was at MMA in 2006 makes it likely it got a 2005 motor tossed in it at the time. Just my 2cents,,
