DEUCE BRAKE LINE REFERENCE GUIDE (Sizes, lengths, fittings)

I updated the 2nd post with the 87-89 dual circuit specific line length/fitting info. I dont have any line length info for the m35a3 trucks yet, if anyone has overall lengths for the lines let me know and I'll add it to post 2. I know the fitting sizes for the a3's just not the lengths. TM for...

    Lock a jerry can

I'm not sure exactly. They aren't cheap... usually between $30-$60 per can for a real one. I've bought a bunch over the last few years from our local Mills Fleet Farm stores (like a Tractor Supply). With the new CARB mandates, there are lots of states that cant sell these type of cans anymore...

    Lock a jerry can

The (real) metal jerry cans & Nato cans have a porcelain coating on the inside that I'd think would be okay to keep water stored in. Obviously you would want that sucker clean. If you are storing water long term you probably should put a few drops of bleach in it also to keep anything from...

    deuce fuel pump relocation

I got my pump out of the 109 without removing the tank... just have to rotate it a certain direction before trying to tip it out .

    Spin-on Fuel Filters

Nice, I'm interested in that braided line also what did you end up using (part numbers if you have them) and how did you route the line from the new primary location to the injector pump? ...... also did you change the elbow fitting that is in the injector pump (the one that doesn't want to...

Deuce re-paint, add winch, super single, power steering, with pictures!!!

Good idea with the brake tubing for the Air-O-Matic Safety check valve.... its pretty crazy the number of threaded fittings they send with for you to use otherwise to attach it to the T on the firewall. I might have to do something like this especially if I ever put an ether kit on. Thank...

    Late Model USAF M35A2C Registry

Yes, some came with winches. My '88 109a3 came with a winch. The dual circuit master cylinder bracket on the 87-89 trucks have a winch lever capstan on them to use all standard winch parts. Look at this TM on pdf page 70 for a picture of how the in cab winch lever would mount to the master...

DEUCE BRAKE LINE REFERENCE GUIDE (Sizes, lengths, fittings)

DUAL CIRCUIT BRAKE LINE INFO Here is a reference sheet for the late model 87-89 "A2" style deuces often called Air Force deuces. Ø 1-½" Wheel Cylinders

Quick follow up. I just cut the slots of the link pins 1/8" deeper and everything worked fine after that and was able to adjust the shoes to spec.

    PEASHOOTER's M109A3 CAMPER Build Thread

Ha, yeah it looks expensive and probably would be if I went about things the normal way. I basically pay for truck parts by selling truck parts:) Even yet, I'm still too cheap to just buy something at normal price usually though. All the brake parts I got by trading things or picked them up...

    Ø 1-½" Wheel Cylinders

Thanks guys, well I ended up measuring the 2 different pistons with the same link pin. The A3 piston does make the link pin stick out farther so I guess that solves my problem. New shoes and the bigger wheel cylinders are just too much for the standard link pin. I'll just either cut the...

    Ø 1-½" Wheel Cylinders

yeah I think if any modification, it will probably be to the "link pins" (thanks for the proper term Jeepsinker). Drilling the pocket deeper in the piston would probably work okay but sharp angles such as from a drill bit are where cracks form. I do have access to a nice machine shop so I could...

    PEASHOOTER's M109A3 CAMPER Build Thread

Well I started doing some work again over the last 2 weeks once I thought the snow was done... and then we got a foot of snow the other day. Trying to get the brakes and deck done by memorial day, not sure if the deck will be finished by then or not. -Got a new compressor installed thats been...

    Ø 1-½" Wheel Cylinders

I've got a couple questions on this.. 1. Clay, did you ever mount these new larger A3 wheel cylinders on your 109? Did it go okay or did you have issues? 2. Can anyone help me find the part number for the front wheel cylinder "piston pin things" like in the pic below that goes on the M35a3...

New Shoes and Hub too Tight

Yeah just a reminder, I used the tm, have them adjusted in as far as possible (including bottom eccentrics), got the hub on twice with bearings but it was too tight to turn without using a leverage bar. Tried adjusting more but can't get any gap on both top AND bottom. New brake cylinder isnt...
