I don't have anything to add personally, but this might be of interest to you.... I was talking to another SS member and he mentioned he had put a Eaton 6406, 6-Speed manual transmission into his m35A3 truck. I asked for some pictures and here is what he sent me. (he hasn't had time to post them...
I have a couple master cylinders available for these, including 1 less expensive type that has a lead in rather than the dimple hole on the piston. Now I can see why that would help with the problem some of us have ran into! Thanks for taking the time to write this up w/pictures!
Here are some random pictures and drawings I have on the spring shims. The first 5 pics/drawings are all from GRINGELTAUBE and are going to be the most helpfull I'm sure. The others are some I had taken or made . Myself and some others basically ended up making zero degree shims by machining...
The 87-89 M35a2 and the 93+ M35A3 trucks use a nearly identical master cylinder. Reservoir capacity is the same (although one is remote mounted), bore and stroke are the same, just a difference in volume split betweeen the two and residual pressure valves in one.
I bought some of the shift boots from Jatonka. It really helped keep the engine heat and smell out in the summer, (and probably keeps the heat in the cab in the winter). The canvas boots were high quality, but the metal retainers were not, so I ended up making my own. I'd say a muffler and the...
Have you seen this thread also? It has some more info on it too that helped me out: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?97810-Deuce-Still-wandering-across-the-lane&p=1253488&viewfull=1#post1253488
yep, but my kids would end up with grease all over them from playing in the yard......again:) (I used a pressure washer and simple green to clean a transmission off after I pulled it off the deuce 2 years ago:) )
Pressure washer is a great idea for some people, but not for all of us city...
I couldnt believe how many spray cans of brake cleaner (and then eventually diesel fuel, and then brake cleaner again) I went through just with flipping my hubs due to some leaky seals. With a full brake job coming up I decided to order these things off amazon to save some money. A pressurized...
I gutted the electric in my 109 as well but I was pretty sure there were (4) 15amp breakers and 60 amp inlet fuses. The wiring was all 14 gauge. As a side note, I did discover some nearly melted through wires running down the center wire duct in the roof. You should be good with 15 amp...
Most of the trucks & trailers Ive seen (near me) usually have that tag on them..... of course that doesnt mean they were supposed to leave it on? Also, I've never seen a bobbed late model a2 before (that I'm aware of) Yours looks good!. If you have any issues with the rear brakes locking up...
I don't have pics but I remember a dome shaped obstruction in it (so not straight through unobstructed). It wasn't a total block though, but enough to deflect the sound. I'm pretty fussy and I think it's a very quality muffler that installed without modification.... But I haven't seen all the...
Just a quick correction on the above Donaldson M070028 spec (I have this one) its body lengty is 14" and overall is 19-3/4". Thanks for putting the comparison together Brian!

Lots of people bought those wheels (rims) from member VINTAGE IRON last year and bobbed there deuces with them, but they had different tires. I personally like the 365 size better than the 395 but it is less common than the 395s so they are harder to find and tend to cost a bit more.
For the heater hose & Coolant filter hose, I bought the "GATES GREEN STRIPE" hose from Oriley auto parts. I'm pretty sure it was 5/8"ID if I remember right. They sell it by the foot, it wasnt super cheap but I wanted some good hose so I wouldnt have to do it again. I honestly cant remember how...
Well now I'm just confused. Maybe we are comparing apples to oranges or something. But I keep looking this stuff up after each post reply here and I'm still seeing every article telling me the opposite. I'm not saying your wrong, just saying EVERY article I have read is saying discs use more...
