Thanks for all the folks looking @ the posting, I still need to get this trailer out of a members yard & down to Florida or some where closer. Not asking for a freebie, I am willing to pay a fair price to get it home.
Come on down & visit the land of the newly wed & nearly dead (my exwife used to tell people that), the prior posters gave you a few wholesome ideas. There are other venues.....
Glad to hear you made it with no problems, you were in a big hurry, but murphy was somewhere else.....leaving you alone for the entire trip. Pictures of the trip & of the Genset are now in order.
JRM has your answer in a post, pull it as fast as you feel safe, but watch the axles for the first hundred miles for heat buildup from too tight an axle bearing or dragging brakes. It is a piece of military equipment & it not designed to be pulled down the highway @ 85 mph, so get up early...
I have a M-1082 that I bought two months ago from Ft Bragg. The trucking company that was supposed to pick it up stiffed me & a member here pulled it off base till arrangements could be made to get it back to Florida. My last attempt to get it just failed this morning when a friend went to pick...

You are moving right along with getting her roadworthy. With that ROPS over the front of the engine & cab, you can drive thru most anything in the woods. Keep plugging away & you will have a mission ready truck before you know it.
Too bad you are not closer, I would donate to your truck, a set...
The truck prices have been going up slowly, but the M1082 trailers are headed the other way, here in the East, even for good ones. Out West they seem to hold their value better.
This is why Doghead wanted you to turn the engine over by hand, to see if there was a mechanical interference somewhere in the power train. Glad to hear that you got it all sorted out. We live & learn, this forum & its members are a great asset to the hobby.
Welcome to the forum & good looking truck. You drove it home, brave man. Only some of us would even attempt that feat. Your truck looks like it has been taken are of & even has a few mods that can be seen in the picture. LED headlights, the muffler & different style of exhaust pipe. Hope you get...
