Somewhere I ran across a person recommending a cheap "Sillcock Key" for removing the airpack plugs on the Long style AirPaks. HERE is a link. They are easy to find at a home improvment store in the plumbing section and cost about $5-8
Its dark by the time i'm home from work now so I can't get you any good ones. Here are some older pics I had that just happen to have some air-o-matic stuff in them (I circled the components and labeld the pics). One of the ram mount castings broke on me one day which a picture shows, so I made...
The most affordable super single wheel at the moment I know of that can bolt onto the deuce would be about $230 ea. That would be for a new $100 Combat rim, $100 adapter, and $30 of hardware
Yeah, those look like 20 bolt MRAP wheels to me since the pilot hole is pretty big. There is a 20 bolt steel, and 20 bolt alunimum MRAP wheel and I'm not sure what that one is from the pic but I'll guess its steel. Eitherway the MRAP adapters will fit it, you can find them HERE. I do make...
Here are some pictures of the first kit. I put notes next to the groups of lines. There are 6 hard lines for the 3 axles, and 4 lines for the frame.... in total there is about 40 feet of hard line for a single circuit deuce. Then there are the 5 flexible hoses (stainless steel braided).
I...
Well the GOOD NEWS is that I was able to get a full set of brake lines off a standard single circuit deuce yesterday (thanks to Tie6044 for letting me take them off a parts truck).
The BAD NEWS is that I underestimated how many feet of brake line there was on a deuce. Its quite a bit.
The...
Thanks for the interest and pm's guys, just give me a few days and Ill get some firm prices. I have the cost of the material but not the footage or number of fittings. My truck has the dual circuit brakes so most lines are the same as a standard deuce but it also has many extra lines. I'll go...
I could put together a FULL KIT for the deuce (assuming anyone is interested) until someone comes up with a prebent exact factory replacment for those who want restoration original stuff.
To go along with the Stainless Steel braided hose kit, I can put together a HARD LINE kit consiting of the...
Your Conversion is coming along great! Having the AC on the back is a great idea since it will make it possible to run while driving. I'm looking forward to your review on the heater as well. I probably missed it, but what are you doing for a Propane tank? Are you going with a standard 20 lb...
There is some hard line that is made out of a copper & Nickel alloy. It won't rust or corrode and bends easily (even by hand without tools) and doesnt kink. This is the stuff I'll be using, however not all companies make the larger 5/16" stuff, some just do 3/16 & 1/4". I believe the deuces...
Still no full set of brake lines and hoses available from the sounds of it...... BUT I have started working with a company to make the BRAIDED STAINLESS STEEL brake hoses for the deuce. (these are the 5 flexible hoses, 2 front wheels, 2 rear axles, 1 frame to front axle). I've listed them in the...
So you are trying to get the spring saddles off the front axle? You have the nuts off the u-bolts, have you jacked up the frame or spring to separate it from the axle at all? The leaf spring has a stud in it as does the axle that fit into holes on the saddle. When I removed mine I had to jack...
Joe, cant you just put your spare Hydraulic head into this injection pump? I might of missed something but it looks like the only damage was to the HH head correct?
Nice job as usual Juergen! I like the switch idea. I also used these same wiper motors. I found you can reverse the park position of the drivers-side motor so it doesn't park right in my viewing area. The shaft is pressed into a gear which you can "overpower" and rotate it 180 degrees. Then...
Ditto!
Read up before you pull that thing out, or you will have a tricky time getting the new one in. The engine has to be rotated so the red mark on the gear is lined up properly for it to come out and the new one to go in.

Maybe this link will help. I cant really picture the valve stem your talking about but Treeguy has parts to convert these type as shown here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?112246-Valve-stems&p=1412625&viewfull=1#post1412625
If your valve stems are in questionable condition and you...
