    ammeter frequency and voltage gauges

ok guys i ran her today. gauges are super and work perfectly. here are a couple pictures. ill work on the instructions tonight and tomorrow then they will be ready to go. i have my ammeters hooked up to monitor L1 and L3 which is what most of us would use on a 1ph 240v setup for our houses. if...

    ammeter frequency and voltage gauges

ike glad you mentioned that. that does ring a bell and i forgot all about it. for the hz meter that was one of my options but would end up with 2 connections. one at the gauge and the one up by the transducer. i decided to just make the wires on the gauge long enough to just run up to the ac...

    ammeter frequency and voltage gauges

well easy but not quite that easy. you have to remember the original hz meter uses an external transducer mounted on the back wall of the control cabinet. the new gauge is all built in. you need to bring those AC wires from the back wall of the cabinet over to the new gauge. thats it really...

thanks! i've really put alot of time into these to make them right. they have gone through change after change to keep improving on the design.

    ammeter frequency and voltage gauges

ok well i got the install done and wired up for the most part. its too late for me to fire it up tonight. ill go ahead and hopefully do that tomorrow. ill get some pics with it running. ill go ahead and start writing the instructions up tomorrow evening. these are really not hard to hook up and...

    ammeter frequency and voltage gauges

yeah i was borderline with those gov ends i had. it started getting bad and i knew the mods would only look the other way for so long. i will put them up there soon. i just gotta find the time one of these evenings to get the gen in the shop to do the install. in the meantime i did make a change...

    ammeter frequency and voltage gauges

Yeah actually they have been done and ready for a week now. I can take orders on them but i havent formally put them up for sale because i wanted to install a set in my 003 and make an instruction sheet for them. I have just been busy. If you can do without instructions then i can ship right...

    Starting issue now

the only thing factory set is the shims on the block. there are shims between the block and the pump. they stay on the block. everything else is free game :)

its not a setting its just a plug to keep oil in and dirt out. in the manual it shows it removed and someone sticking a wire in the hole.....i think

    Starting issue now

there is a screw with a copper gasket on the side of the pump mounting flange. there is a groove in the gear it goes in. do you have the manual? its all spelled out there with pictures and done in a few steps.

    Starting issue now

well if its your original pump and you didnt change anything then the button wouldnt change. as long as you use the 1/8" drill bit in the side to lock the gear in the right place when you install it then your good. pump is installed with the pointer dead nuts on the pc mark while on the #1...

yes the napa 4770 heads with a water sep and filter canister. i use them on all my generators. i just make it myself though. they work great. with the pumps running after bit you should hear the fuel trickling back into the tank.....unless its really full.

rob there are filter screens in each fuel pump. on the bottom of each pump there is a hex head. 9/16 or 5/8" i think. put a wrench on it and turn. the bottom of the pump will come off and there is a filter element inside that can usually be cleaned.

just to throw this out there, we have a member here, wciguy who makes the valve cover gaskets. they are usually in the classifieds. just send him a pm. i have bought factory onan ones as well as his. they are identical material and his are cut right on the money.

flywheel housing. there is a hole with a screw on metal pointer. every valve cover i have taken off the gasket gets destroyed since its stuck to the head and the cover. the gaskets are cheap though and are easily found.

rob as jerry said the valve adjustment is a regular scheduled operator maintenance procedure. there is a step by step all spelled out in the -12.

MEP generator sizing for starting 10hp elec motors

The equipment and motors themselves will play a factor. For instance i have an 003a and in my shop i have a 3hp tubaxial fan and a 7.5hp compressor. The fan is actually harder to start than the compressor. My gen will run both at the same time but the fan has to come on first. For some reason...

    ammeter frequency and voltage gauges

Abs should last years and years outside. The only piece exposed to the weather and UV is the bezel. You should see no cracking. To give you an idea, the septic vent pipe on your house going out the roof is usually abs. That has to handle all the weather and the baking sun and heat all year long...

    ammeter frequency and voltage gauges

Thats probably a standard 2" gauge. Im sure the gauge would work no problem but the hole would need to be opened up a bit providing there is room of course. If its something you wanted to do i could even provide a self adhesive template.
