Found this knife in my five ton

It is the same handle as on the knife I found; and yeah it is a free knife with some history never to be told!

Found this knife in my five ton

Well heck, even if it is a cheap knife; I was still stoked that I found it. I guess just sharpen it up and throw it back under the floor mat for some day that it will come in use!

Found this knife in my five ton

Ok, I have had this truck for about three months now. I lifted up the floor mat and found this knife. Just wondering if it is a decent knife. Somone took it to a grinder to sharpen it, but give me twenty minutes of free time and I will have it razor sharp. Any thoughts on what it is and if its a...

When do you hate your 5 ton !

There are only a few things I like from my five ton over my duece. The five tons' power steering and how big it is (M923A1). Overall though, I much prefer the duece any day! But I love both of them no doubt!

    NHC 250 Fuel filter question

I just fully serviced my M923A1 with all aftermarket filters and all gaskets and such worked perfect! There is a thread here that has all of the cross over numbers on here but not sure how to copy and paste them!

    Brake troubles

Mine wasn't making the air blow off noise so I checked the fluid. It was empty, and I filled it up and it started blowing off air again(not sure why fluid makes it blow off air, but it did). Went for a drive and the brakes didn't work at all! After jamming into low gears at a stop sign I went...

Awesome, great to hear you guys made it back fine! that is a heck of a drive in one day! you have put more miles on it in one trip than I have in two weeks! I hope you guys like your new trucks, all of them in that auction were nice trucks. Yeah put it in nuetral and shift into low, otherwise it...

M939 series transfer case low range / front axle engagement

Mine is the same way, light isn't on in low but is engaged. For the hard shifting into low do it while the truck is rolling and it goes in alot easier than when stopped.

    M923A1 Abs Light

Thanks, I will check it out to see what I find. I was hoping it wasn't important; and the truck stops great!

    M923A1 Abs Light

Do I need to remove the tires to check the ABS sensors? Is it a big deal that the light is on?

    M923A1 Abs Light

I just bought a M923A1 and the ABS light is on. What can the problem be? Where do I start?

What have you done with your 5 Ton

I bought my first five ton, its an M923A1 this week. It is so different than my duece. I like it, but the duece rides so much better off road! Can't wait for my singles to arrive and mount them to see how they affect it! Also changed engine oil and filter, transmission external filter, fuel...

    Question about M923A2s

Yeah they let you drive them off.

    Question about M923A2s

I saw those two go for outrageous high when the prior acution they went for a reasonable price. I went and looked at them and they both were real nice trucks. If you need help with your recovery I bought one too and live close by.

    M923a1 transmission fluid?

I just bought a M923A1 and have been reading all of your posts. I am going to pick the truck up whenever the EUC goes trough. If the transmission needs to be topped off for the drive home what 10Wt oil should I use, (10w30,10w40, etc)?

Please don't be this guy(pics inside)

Lazy and crazy fall hand in hand. If you spend time to make a device that is only useful for twenty minutes; falls in the category of crazy! I am all about steel soldiers and military vehicles; so not trying to prove a point. I am just telling you all what I have done (not bragging by any means)...

Please don't be this guy(pics inside)

Ignorance is an attitude by many that are not educated. If you realize the difference between practical and reasonable, you could distinguish the difference. Just because you don't need to spend money and do seems to support being insane. The definition for insane is doing the same thing twice...

Please don't be this guy(pics inside)

I guess people are not raised in an agriculture based background, lights on trailers and vehicles only sometimes work. If I spent more time on my vehicles it would mean less time on my cattle. In a perfect world I would love everything to work, but it doesn't work that way. When you get them...

Please don't be this guy(pics inside)

Ok guys I am all abou the law and obeying the rules. Here in basically Mexico peoples' vehicles don't have working lights or even insurance. I have been hit by two mexico drivers that have been uninsured and nothing happens to them, not even a ticket by the cops. When recovering trailers my...

Please don't be this guy(pics inside)

I don't see a problem with this picture. I give him props for doing it. I have picked up nine trailers in the last two weeks and never have had working lights to my pickup. That is cool in my book.
