Ok, so I added the spin on filter set for my duece and installed it today. When I went to get the 6 micron filter they only had one so I decided to get one six micron and one 12 micron filter. I am curious which filter the oil goes thru first. Is it the one closer to the cab or the front of...
Ok well, I got the filter for it today. I went with the K&N style filter and had to add a little larger fuel line over my 1/4" air conditioning line to get it to work. I put a few hose clamps on to make sure it will stay on and am glad I finished doing this to the duece. Now I need another...
Well I got it finished this afternoon after school. It was really easy and hopefully now I wont blow any seals. My old spring type valves cased me to blow two axle seals on the front. Hopefully that will never happen again. Thanks for all the info!
Yeah I can not find one for the life of me on top of the transmission of my duece. I guess I will keep looking for it. How you said yours didn't have a breather on top of the transmission, did you add one?
Ok, well I finally got around to doing the central vent system last night and ran out of light and have two questions. The first one being, is there a breather on the transmission? I looked everywhere for one and can't find it, if there is one. The second is where do you find a filter that...
Hopefully that does the trick. The truck only has 300 miles and 10 hours on the clock since its rebuild in 2006. Thanks guys will keep running it and see what happens.
I picked up a M931 yesterday for a friend of mine. Once I got it jump started and checked all of the fluids and topped them off I noticed smoke coming out of the breather. It is a decent amount of white smoke where you can see it from the cab when you are at a stop. It also blows a little oil...
The old saying always comes to mind; If its not broke don't fix it. A rebuild will cost about the same either way, just postpone it until it gives out.
I originally got my first truck (M35A2C) for getting my boat and rv down in the deep sand to the lake. After that it just became an addiction and now I try and buy anyhting I can afford at the time.
I almost always start in second even since I have put on the 395's. It doesn't seem hard on the truck at all. I do the same with my 1970 Chevy C-10 and its pushing 500,000 on the original transmission, so I think it is plenty fine to start off in 2nd.
