    dual front axles on Deuce

I'm a vote for another steering axle ahead of the existing axle (which could be moved rearwards), linked mechanically and with both steering axles assisted via power rams. Definitely need a cab forward swap, to solve the fender/tire coverage issues. What about rear steer then? Come to think...

Why are the GL Deuces from Texas so beat?

Is it then the abuse the trucks are subject to during (recruit/driver?) training that has them showing up on the GL lot looking like stir fry? Rick

Suggestion: TM's indexed to vehicle groups

Hey guys! I have no idea what kind of work it would take, so my suggestion comes more from a dream perspective than a pragmatic view. What if each vehicle section on the supersite had the all the applicable TM's posted in a sticky, ala the deuce forum? The TM's could even occupy their own...

Just took Queen Lola for a spin

Sounds like Lola's down time was well spent, like she visited the spa! Those radiator blankets sure give her a different look, are they effective? Rick

    second bad T/C @#%!!!

BW, any chance the linkage throw (movement) is obstructed? This might explain the 2 for 2 failure. Might be worth it to knock the linkage off the TC, hand shift it into high and drive it to see if there's another cause. Rick

Why are the GL Deuces from Texas so beat?

Thanks NDT, is this info passed to you, your theory or personal knowledge? Why oh why would the AF cannibalize newer trucks? Don't they have the older models around to steal pieces off of? TexAndy, good advise. Those boys are making junk of those trucks, might as well look elsewhere! hehe. Rick

Why are the GL Deuces from Texas so beat?

Am I the only one to notice that even when there are more than 2 trucks on the GL website, the offerings from Texas do not stand up to other regions? The thing I noticed is that there are lots of cannibalized trucks on Texas lots, as if there is some activity the army does there that has them...

Have you tried the vendors and the classifieds? I spoke with Jason at Barstow Truck Parts today. He says he has hundreds of trucks. I'll bet he's got a window or two for ya! Rick

For sale listing in classifieds. . .

FMJ, beautiful truck! You did a fantastic job on the presentation, including making the effort to utilize proper lighting for the photos. Best wishes on the sale. Rick

    need a little explanation...

I was following along great till I got to this statement. I cannot imagine how locking the front/rear diff creates a power transmission problem. Is it something else, like a physical difficulty in the effort? Can you please explain? Rick

    High Priced Deuce!

Whoa. I re-read my post to make sure it conveyed what I meant. I was not referring to your sale in the classifieds, just an observation and opinion at large. You Ok? Rick

    Mislabeled truck?

I don't think there's any harm or foul. Notice that the responders to your thread have "already been there, seen that". Rick

    High Priced Deuce!

My theory: This site has no greater fools. Folks pounding the computer keys to communicate on this board have spent more time studying values and prices. We are tighter than the "at large" buyer pool which has bigger fishes, fools and lunatics. If anyone on this board contacted justal67 and...

    High Priced Deuce!

I like that wisdom. It's clear and refreshing. And often the best approach in a community. Anyone ever accuse you of not following what you were taught? Rick

    Check your VENTS!!

Holy thread swap, batman! Go back up one level to the Deuce forum, click on the FAQ article, click on item #5 or scroll down to the TM you want and down load the .pdf files onto your hard drive to your hearts content. You can print out as many copies as you want: One in the loo, one for the...
