Yes that is going to be a strong Jeep!! Things are hammering along for me. I am busy with work; mowing and working on my truck. I am getting closer; we are planning a little trip ( a few other local guys and I) I just have to my truck done first LOL.
We are planning a trip from southwest Kansas and Oklahoma to Walsenburg Co and do some driving around up and around there October 27 - 30. Anyone is more than welcome to come along.
A contingency plan is to head Plainview Tx to the McDonald Trading Post.
Things re going good here for me. I have been working on the truck some I am trying to get it ready so that i can go on a little road trip with it in Oct. Like said above depends on the truck. I have bought a truck that was drained we filled all fluids; fired it up and drove it 250miles with no problem. But that is not 2700mi. I say what the heck go for it. The big thing is check all the fluids and grease the drive shaft ( you need a needle grease...
A lot of these fan clutches just rattle I know they do also in over the road trucks too. yes you can listen to it with a stethoscope or a long screw driver but be very careful because of the moving parts. you need to listen on the stationary parts
