Well if you have a leak making a good mess re torque is not the problem in my opinion. Sometimes the rocker box gaskets mess up or the rocker shaft has o-rings in both ends (I have had trouble with these). The only other thing I can think of it maybe the inserts in the head gasket for the oil...
USMC 00-08 Yeah I have been a member for a while but I really had not been on until just lately. I have a 1942 CCKW, 2 1952 M211's 1 parts and a one to restore, M931 tractor I am upgrading and an M923. What do you have?
I enjoyed this thread and you have built a nice truck!!
I am working on a M931 project but I also have M923 that I want to install a c&c bed hoist kit on the truck but i seen in this thread u talked it is easy to over load the hoist. I am wandering how full the stock bed is and it is over loaded?
How long have you had this unit? I am wandering if this is a new problem or it truck new to you?
It sounds like to me if you do not have a gauge, sending unit, wiring problem worn cam bearings can do this type of thing but normally the start up PSI will be lower as well. Does your oil smell...
Great thread I enjoyed the photos a lot; really enjoyed post #124 your woman paratrooper is very beautiful and deadly at the same time! Just a interesting thread!!
Hello
This is just some thoughts and questions. Are you sure the lever is not loose on the shaft? I have seen that a lot. It will not hurt to take off the tin plate a lot of old cummins did not have the cover there. In the picture the seal on the rear adjuster screw is still on; if it is intact...
Sounds like you had a good plan for not making a mess. It make you mad when someone over tightens stuff like that; it does need to be tight so it does not leak or vibrate loose but have some sense about it.
I am not 100% sure but I think they will bolt up. I have seen a lot of transmissions on GL and they do not specify a difference but they do not give that much info on them either. The M925 different part number is most likely do to PTO.
Hello!
That is good to hear. I am fixing a trailer to pull with mine to haul my stuff and I will need to call them because in the statement for tag renewal it says if this vehicle meets requirements it will automatically turn into a commercial tag January 1 and it talked about needing a DOT...
Yeah Rob I did not notice you had an A2 so yeah it will be different. I plan do to do the turbo mod but I am not sure how much modifying I will do on pump because the more PSI the pump has to built the more stress you put on the cam and push tubes is why I am thinking to make an injector change.
