Yep, s usual, you are correct, it isn't going to fit. I was talking with Joe and told him my truck was an 08 A1R with latest Haldex dryer and he recommended this over servicing mine and said it was a direct fit. Just spoke with someone else in parts and they are emailing me a label to send it back.

MWME says it's a direct replacement for my new style dryer on the truck. Everything, other than the electrical plug is supposed to be a direct bolt on. Do you have a good source for the parts to rebuild the factory dryer? Anyone offer a kit with everything in it vs sourcing each part?

Yea, I'll get around to it eventually. I saved the failed part. The solenoid is engaged buy the small studs, so I was thinking possibly one of the larger studs partially rotated and damaged the connection but didn't completely break and it eventually gave up from the current draw through what...

So, as it turns out, my handles were not worn out, the rod from the lock lever to the door handle was disconnected. My handles were pretty fugly so I would have changed them out ultimately anyway. On the bright side, I now know what the clanky noise is that I hear in both doors when I go around...

So, as I said, I have no idea why the original starter and auxiliary starter solenoid where changed out, but I'm pretty sure this is the cause of the failure of the replacement aux solenoid.

My truck is also 119K built 10/08 and has the composite bug catcher, that's about all it's good for anyway:)

Thanks, I know who to talk to if mine fails:) I also ordered the newer style dryer that MWME sells. Supposedly does a better job of drying the air. They have 10% off on everything on their site currently, so the new dryer was basically the same cost as the parts to service mine.

I was getting zero volts through the relay, and the click when it was triggered was pretty loud, so I was pretty sure it was engaging but bad. New part installed now and it fires right up. Now to either replace it with the proper military part and relegate this part to being an emergency spare...

I got them out. Used my knipex parallel jaw pliers to grab the pins and then rolled them back against the side of the bed like a cam to push them out.

I figured out the the pinout already this morning. I have Deutsch DT 4-pin connectors, so If i can't figure out how to get the pins out of this plug, I'll just change it out. Need to get this done so I can get on to figuring out where my power steering fluid is leaking from.
