The way no-fault insurance works in FL is each insurance company pays for the damages to their client's insured vehicle. The not-at-fault insurance company will then go after the at-fault vehicle's insurance company to recover their losses.
I was in a major accident about 20 years ago where I...
My M929 transfer case shifts much easier if the truck is rolling. I have also had to put the transmission in gear and then back in neutral with the engine idling and the transfer case in neutral to spin the transfer case so I could shift it with the truck sitting still.
If you are going to be sinking your truck in the swamp on a regular basis, I would skip the synthetic because you will be doing this all over again. You can probably do three complete conventional services for the cost of one synthetic.
Since I could get home the rest of the way without needing the brakes, I released the parking brake and manually pulled the slack adjuster back to fully release the brake. S-cam brakes are different from the wedge brakes on your truck.
You check the brake drum for brake heat or the hub for...
I don't know about the alternator itself. You could try checking the B+ terminal with the engine running to see if it's charging on the 12 volt side.
The 12-24n is for charging at 24 volts from a 12 volt alternator. I think the M915A1 is all 12 volts except the starter and the military...
It's a little late now, but in the future take an IR thermometer. I ALWAYS stop a mile or two down the road and check temps on everything. You check axle center sections, bearings at the hubs, brake drums, transmission, transfer case, radiator, etc. Then I stop 10 or 15 miles further and...
The 12-24n is only rated for 10 amps. It uses the stator to turn it on. Pick one stator wire and hook it to the 12-24n and tape up or insulate the other two separately that you don't use.
Since you already have it, use it. If you can get an OE, I would do that.
Do you think the drums may be rusty and it's just grabbing? If you can look at/or get a picture of the same model trailer and see if anything is different, it would help.
I have the permanent tag on all of my MVs. I've only been stopped once, and explained I was coming home from a Rally thinking they might gig me on the limited use. The Deputy said he didn't care about the limited use restriction, he just wanted to see I had a tag since it is not displayed. He...
Yeah, you have to be prepared to walk away if it's damaged more than you want to accept. That might be hard to do if you traveled a long distance. It's easier to decide if you pick up the item yourself but sometimes that is impractical. I doubt there will be any trucker that will walk away...
It was a great BBQ Ray! Thanks for making the effort and to everybody that helped put it all together!
And thanks to ODFever for organizing the parade participation! Next time tell them you need more than 100' of staging area.....
It was good seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
