New question.

This seems like the latest ABS thread.

I've not jumped into the abs system yet bc I thought it was working. After missing a deer 2 nights ago and locking up the rear & drifting at 45mph a few times I thought I might have an issue.

so the CB82 breaker is missing. MME is so good at "going thru" the truck! lol. Im reluctant to just replace it without a plan bc I don't know why it was pulled? Scavenged or intentionally removed due to an issue?

I agree with the guidance above from @Lostchain to get the Wabco but I don't have it at present. A PM to Rick is forthcoming lol!

I need to get it back going before the ice comes.

My truck was also MME, and my breaker was also pulled. After various diagnosing and trying to talk to the ABS computer (with some strange results, I think it wasn't quite dead) I took the thing apart and found water intrusion. Trying to find another one was a little tricky, I bought a replacement one that looked really nice, but it was in far worse shape inside than mine. Then I bought another and it's been working great. That said I think a model is slightly different because now when I press any mode except highway on the CTIS it disables the ABS system. This is noted in the wabco manual as an option for off-road settings, but I've never heard of ABS being turned off for any FMTVs in the civilian world for any CTIS settings.

MME pulling the fuse to shut off a cranky ABS warning lamp....... Naw they would never do that.

Yeah we need to get you hooked up with WABCO software.....
Dammit, get outta my head!

I don't see an issue with him putting in the fuse but it will probably just get him an ABS light, and a more pressing need to get intimate with some software to figure it out...

Since I purchased a spare A1 PDP board, I have lots of spare breakers and relays. Today, I was feeling strong so I put a 10A CB into the missing CB82 space. Now I get the ABS light steady so no surprise there.

Can you connect to it? Just beware, even if the abs ECU is dead, it will still looks like it connects (it won't error out and will have some strange values in certain fields in wabco software).

I will have diagnostic tools soon so then I'll dive into it. Oddly today while driving the abs light turned off for 20minutes then turned back on.

When you flip the power switch on the dash one of the protocols, like the inlet heater activating then going off (when it is warm), is the ABS computer checking all four (on an M1078/9) relays. You can hear them click: front, rear, front, rear. If the controller is dead or not powered, no clicks—

Ok I just tried this. 4 pretty loud clicks right after the AIH heater. Front rear Front rear like you said. Pretty definitive! Wow nice. I tested it in snow, downhill next to the barn. One tire released after I locked up the brakes. I could feel a shudder. The other rear stayed locked. Only going <10. The abs light was off. What the heck. Seems like this system is partially working at least. So why the heck did they pull the abs breaker? I'm pissed bc last month I fishtailed pretty bad avoiding a deer, could've been bad.

Almost positive the 6x6 has the 4 actuator version too, unfortunately.

Well it doing a power on self test is a great sign. But until you can read its codes, it is grasping at straws. Could be something as simple(and quite common) as a wheel sensor having intermittent connection or detection(sensor backed out from tone wheel)…
