    Choctow H-140 Heater

The TM has the filter at 30 micron at 30 gpm (Parker) which sounds pretty big/fast to me, so I'm hopeful a filtering system would be simpler/easier than the guys trying to filter for engine fuel injectors. The atomizing nozzles do have cintered bronze filters but I can't find technical data on...

    Choctow H-140 Heater

Wow, not a lot of discussion on these heaters. I just picked up two new ones at auction. Before I wonder over to the Alternative Fuels forum (I was overwhelmed by the information there), does anyone have DIRECT experience running waste oil in these heaters? I thought I'd ask for proof in the...

    ABS troubleshooting

My problems were blow fuses (simple to check) and bad connections (no bad parts) at the ECU and valves. Those are easy places to start. However, I did have the Haldex reader and it pointed me right to the bad connections. Good luck. Al Jones 84 M923

    What does this thing do?

Sorry if my post was too prickly. Believe it or not, I was actually trying to be helpful by letting you know that about any search (here or anywhere) would find what you are looking for. I find this site extremely helpful! I think you will too if you don't expect information spoon fed to you...

12 Volt Circuit Breaker Accessory Kit

The Klixon link is for the 28.8 ones. I couldn't find any Klixon 12V ones so I ended up installing a standard military 15 amp one. I usually run my heater motor on low and it has not tripped yet. I wanted to test it and see what it would take to trip one on 12V but never got around to it. No...

    Artisan's M916

I highly recommend you secure that loose steel in your battery box. If you hit a big enough bump/hole/etc. - anything jumps behind on top of the battery (especially those feet) - disaster... I am also not seeing battery hold downs? Same thing applies. Al Jones '84 M923

Can I burn hydraulic fluid in 939A1 250 Cummins

MIL-T-83133 studied the use of JP-8 in the NHC250. It works so the NHC250 is not *really* a diesel only engine... (ya, ya, running JP-8 is not practical)... Al Jones '84 M923

    M 925 Lube Question

I have seen that statement in the LO "disassemble and lubricate front axle shaft and universal joints". I'd like to know how many MV owners actually do that. I'm not questioning the LO, but that's an awfully big job. My M923 has 6000 miles on it and I'm scratching my head if its worth it to...

    Engine Barring Tool ??

The tool shown in the link above is for the A2. Here are pics of the ST-747 barring tool for the A0/A1 model - OR - in some cases the A0 that has the hole for the small tool. I found this one on eBay for about $50 - it's a Snap On brand. Al Jones '84 M923

Anyone been to Ripley without a GL escort?

Ya, I'm trying to preview too and John is not available. He's spread pretty thin over more than one state. :(
