Still hunting for M813 troop seats

I still have a 14 foot set that I’ll probably be cutting up soon to fit my dropside, unless I find a good 12 foot set.

    Serpentine belt for Cummins 8.3

Fairly common, the rubber degrades and the outer section walks out of line, or off Then your belt looks like the one in post #5 Some start to make noise before the carnage starts.

Base model? Guess you guys finally admit the 8.3 is the superior stock motor! Sorry, couldn’t resist, been a long time since we went there… Seriously though I would have reservations with an 8.3 that just had a head gasket done. Wondering what caused if to blow, if everything was repaired...

    M925a2 1988

That bolt should be very easy to extract especially if you pulling the manifold all the way off. Drill the hole for your extractor all the way through the bolt, then you can quickly heat just the bolt itself cherry red by directing a torch flame through the hole. Let cool completely, set your...

    M925a2 1988

Can you post a picture of your broken bolt? The rest of them you should be able to quickly warm the threaded ears on the cylinder head up one at a time with a torch without getting too much heat in the bolt, touch a candle to the threads to hopefully get some wax to wick back in them, then...

    Alternator changeout issues

After shorting the alternator, you might want to at minimum check it and the PCB out before going on an 1-1/2hr drive. 24 volts and 2500 amps does amazing things!

    Alternator changeout issues

Go figure… the water heater in my garage bathroom has been putting out too many amps ever since I put the alternator I got from you on the shelf next to it.

Spicer auxiliary box in my M820

I think a good place to start is to see what series yokes that you can get, or they have on them.

    M925A2 Delco Style Alternator

You may want to look for a smaller wattage heater if 1500w gets the cab hot quickly and short cycles.

Just for reference an a2 extended with #400 14.00 tire/wheel is noticeably unhappy. Be very gentle with 16.00’s or tires with run flats

    Bringing My MV Home

Convoy lights would be a big bonus, and 500 miles a day or not, I would recommend staying off the interstate once you hit those high speed limit western states, you still won’t keep up with traffic even on state roads.

    Bringing My MV Home

Make sure you keep minimum of 80-90 psi in your tires, and plenty of spares.
