    M35A2 engine flush

My opinion is there is no need to (flush) a engine unless you are trying to deal with a known issue. Like mentioned above atf does wonders on stuck hydraulic lifers but we have solid lifters so that is a non issue. I would say you will be better off changing your oil and filters on time and...

    Parking Brake Handle upgrading

If I had a choice I would mount it back further that stupid handle will give you a enema if you are not careful.

What have you done to your 10 ton this week?

Pictures just do not do those justice without something beside it for scale. It is hard to realize how massive they really are.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

They have only been on the truck for about 6 months or so.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I got my boots from big mike. I went with the silicone non zipper ones they were easy to install and I did not have any trouble with them popping out of the groove like many have shared horror stories about. on a side note I am right in the middle of you and dipstick in Altoona 16601

Rear Hub Service and How much Grease to use.

Just be careful with how much extra grease you pump in because the back seal is just a dust cover and you can get so much grease in there that it will get on the brakes.

Rear Hub Service and How much Grease to use.

This is a highly debated topic from people saying fill them up to others saying you only need to pack the bearings and no more. Both sides have interesting arguments and I don’t know that either way is incorrect. The important part is that we regularly service the bearings so that we don’t...

Which military truck is the most capable? Good survival vehicle?

The 2.5 and 5 ton trucks are more capable than most people will ever need in most situations but just like any vehicle you need to have the right setup for different weather conditions. I personally have no desire to move a military truck in snow if it is still wearing ndt tires. But that...

Issues with my Deuce that need attention

I just did the spin on upgrade and have the old cans sitting in the garage. I don’t know what shipping would cost but let me know if you are interested.

Does a GOVT rebuilt Multifuel in Crate need a Long Run in Procedure?

I personally do not believe in running a engine in regardless of what fuel it runs on. I get a heat cycle or two on a fresh engine (just enough to get all the fluids checked and adjusted) then run it like you stole it. If a engine is going to fail I want to know right away not after I babied it...

    Oil thin and drippy

So you don’t have milky oil and are not losing coolant so that can be eliminated you are not gaining or making oil and can not smell fuel in the oil. the safest thing would be send a oil sample to black stone labs and see what they find. is it possible that there is nothing wrong with your...

    Third day is a charm

Are you looking at converting to 12 volt or adding a 12 volt alt for 12v accessories. That is a far drive and leap of faith not knowing the truck. Happy you made it home safely.

Using a pallet jack to install/remove super singles

A pry bar under the tire does it for me. Very little strength needed when leverage is working for you.

Just spitballing...winching out your own deuce while alone.

You must be a millennial or French with a response like that.

Just spitballing...winching out your own deuce while alone.

If you want to see what kind of things happen to well intended operators that dont how to properly operate YouTube machine fails or heavy equipment fails. You will see endless clips of horrible accidents that could have been avoided with some training

Just spitballing...winching out your own deuce while alone.

The important part is to learn the ins and outs of the winch operation. When you operate the winch on one of these trucks it only takes one mistake to cause serious property damage, bodily damage, or worse. these winches are supposed to be operated from in the cab you can not do anything with...

M35a2 air filter element: commercial part #?

This is just a thought but knowing how these engines do not like intake restrictions (poor flowing aftermarket filters). I wonder if turned up trucks would benefit from a different filter setup that can flow more air and possibly decrease egt’s. We know that the dust bowl filters cause higher...
