this sounds like a great idea! if i don't do my Cali to Virgina trip next year i could meet you in Seattle in my m1008 only a 2 day trip from San Jose. and follow you up to Alaska in my little truck !
Driving directionsfrom San jose to Prudhoe Bay, AK
3,617 mi – about 3 days 3 hours
just get a Np208 from any 85 to 88 check 4x4 or a np241 will work also. as for the guages yes a civi one will work. check out ebay lots of cucv parts on there right now.
So I got my drive shaft back from the shop and i took it for a spin and I have no death wobble in the truck and it runs great. and its insured so now on to the DMV
Hey they have pics of it up but i wont post theme here in fear of it being taken down. but it needs battery's ( does not have any ) the seats in good shape and it has forklift damage on the drivers side i would expect a new drive shaft is needed also. i would try to find a key for it also.
Well its fixed the drive line shop guy hooked me up for 160 bucks he added a half and inch ( he said the yoke seemed a little short ) and new spicer u joints. ill get pictures of it tomorrow when i pick it up
ya so i dont think i can make this i am going to Yosemite at the end of OCT and i need to get the M1008 ready its first road trip... next year at pismo ill go
They just might not have the Picture's up yet. mine said it did not run when i got it and it ran just needed a new battery. as for the tailgate missing it could have been used as a cargo carrier and had a bed cover with doors. im sure some one could help you i would go if i lived closer to Barstow.
