It a full width storage box, with it's primary use for that of stowage space for the side curtains and associated hardware. I have found them at auction to hold some neat treasures to absolutely nothing.

This is what it all about. We recently had a very similar experience at a local Developmental Needs Awareness Event at the mall. Quite rewarding.

My family and I have visited the LST at several ports on their various tours and have never been disappointed. It is something that everyone should see first hand.
