    24 Volt Heater

And this is why home electric furnaces and other home appliances that create heat run on 240volt circuits instead of 120v and hair dryers max out most any home 120v outlet.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Wife got herself stuck in a 3ft snow drift a few miles from our house on her way to work. Called me at 5am to tell me I need to come get her and that the roads where drifted over enought that I'll have a fun time getting to the highway. Got dressed, M35 has a block heater and had already been...

    86 M35a2 with a '66 engine? Is this possible?

Normally the registration number is painted on the inside doors too. Is it possible that by submitting the vin number to the "vin number thread", CARNAC might help you get the rest of the information. Sorry if he needs more to go on.

Are you kidding me? Squealling coming from generator

Quick way I diagnose that type of noise is by spraying the area with anything handy while the engine is running, ie hit the belts and the noise stops, then the belts aren't tight or are worn.

Are you kidding me? Squealling coming from generator

When the switch is on there is a load placed on the generator. Switch off and its free wheeling so no belt squeaks and no other noises. Some noticable noise should come from it when its under load, but it shouldn't be noticed standing outside the truck with all the other vibrations/noises.

    USMC markings?

There are many threads on correct placement of markings and even manuals on the topic. Unless USMC is different than the other branches you'll also have to decide on an era to copy if you want it to look correct.

    Towing a deuce??

In that situation in most states had you been inspected or involved in an accident and then inspected you would have been found without brakes on a trailer over the limit for "towing without brakes." I wouldn't want to be in that situation and anywhere I go I end up passing several commerce...

    Towing a deuce??

I don't know why this gets asked so often. Its pretty simple, just about any truck could move a deuce on a trailer. The real question isn't any more complicated than adding up the weights and seeing if its under the rated capacity of your given truck. In the end only the upper tier of 1 Tons...

The OSHP inspection station on alum creek dr in columbus can help you with building a car, but basically you'll need to prove with receipts were you got all the things they will consider major assemblies.

    Only in a Huey!

My Dad is a vietnam vet and served with the 1092 Engineers out of WV. He's told stories over the years of manning the gun that is sometimes mounted out of the doors on the huey. As a kid the WVNG used to fly them over our fields all the time and one weekend my brother and I were celebrating our...

I used RTV gasket maker when I restored my hard top. The army used something similar as it was very hard to remove during the restoration.
