I put a Pyro in about 1.5 inches above the turbo housing before I went hunting last weekend. I have never been around a pyro before, so what I encountered confussed me a little. I added the turbo, but have not changed the timming yet ( I have not found the information to do it yet).
It was...
Glen, how is it going. I was going to call you and see how you are doing. I just do not know when is a good time with your new job. I am thinking about doing a thread on all I have done to it. There is still a lot to do. I just have to do it a little at a time when I scape up the money.
Correct me if I am wrong but all motor oil, tranny fluid, and gear oil was all purchased with the intent to be used on the road and a tax was paid. So why would it not be just like any other fuel additive that you put into any other vehicle on the road. In the case of the deuce it might be up...
I am going to have to do mine. this is a great thread. What is the easyest way to tell if the bearings need replaced before you get into it? That way you have all the parts when you dig into it.
No it was a non-turbo so I installed a C turbo which has cut down the smoke and noise tremendously. I'm just not sure about advancing the timing on it. Some say to do it and others say not to. I will be installing a muffler as well. When I got General Granite it was a pretty plain deuce with a...
I have instaled a C turbo in General Granite. I am installing a pyro but it is not here yet.
I have not changed the timing yet, but some threads say to leave it wear it is.
So if I have it change the timing could someone post some pictures of how to do this.
And if I should leave the timing...
I installed a C turbo on General Granite this week and now the button wont start it. I can start it by jumping the starter. All the conections seem tight. What could the problem be.
Does your heater work? Is it set up like mine is?
Mine has the PTO in the back as well I am still thinking of what to do with it. I do not have the lever to engage it either. When I got mine it was engaged.
I had a tank under the passangers seat, that was not conected anymore. It is in...
The one that you circled is the one that was the one that went to the fire truck. It terminates the same place that the heater does. There is not a shut off on the other end of it. The heater lines have a shut off on both ends.
I have a personal heater that is in the cab. This deuce was a fire truck before it was bobbed. The way that the hoses are routed is different then anything that I have found from the searches. First hose is in the port that is on the top of the water pump, I will put this in the bottom one...
For some reason mine starts harder when I have under a half a tank of feul.
It would start in the 20's with mostly WMO in the tank. I have switch to diesel with a little kerosene when I think it will get realy cold.
