Yes you can remove the in line fuse and it breaks the circuit. Thats exactly what I have done on my 002... using a double battery charger hooked to the batteries, and powered off the convenience outlet when running (otherwise plugged into a cord during standby).

Yeah flip up the cover above the IP and make sure there are no nests (same as behind the shutters). Goddamn mice will nest and ruin anything, given half a chance.

Lower left of the oil filter canister. Has (2) wires to it. Take the wires off, hook them together, try to start. Edit: Thats the LOP switch. The temp switch is behind the shutter assembly.

So FYI to everyone... the baseline price has gone up. Qty 1-9 is now $219.70/ea Qty 10 is $91.97/ea So it would behoove rebuilders (and regular owners alike) to get into some sort of bulk buy in the future.

Yeah I pretty much exclusively use Wix on the sets I go through, bulk buy either through Rock Auto or Fleet Filter. Come to think of it I should do an inventory soon on my filters.

Its not a bad idea to have either switch in your parts bin for hot replacement if need be.

Low Oil Pressure, same unit Ray mentioned. Its right near the oil filter canister, left side, low. Its got 2 wires going to it... its a simple circuit. Just undo those 2 wires and hook them together for testing purposes. It will take the sensor out of the equation. If it runs and runs and runs...

Yeah sorry most of the parts I have burned putting together for customer sets. As I have more or less transitioned out of handling trailer mounted units, I've stopped receiving slide hammers in. They appear once in a blue moon inside of a genset enclosure, but 99.9% of the time are in the tool...

You are talking about in the genset? Its the little rectangular bar at the lower right corner of the lug panel.

Id say probably 40% of the gensets I have had in, have required the Quad fuse install by me.
