Which NOCO Genius Charger for MEP-803A?

Thats a smart way of doing it. I like the lower tech approach myself, but thats definitely a good way to do it.

Generator MEP 803A problem “over voltage”

Can you be more specific on details, like under what conditions it happens.. right after startup? After running a while? Have you performed any testing on items in the set related to this, or referenced the tech manual?

Which NOCO Genius Charger for MEP-803A?

Yes, according to a NOCO rep I spoke with on the phone, before going with that solution. Thats why I mounted my power entry unit near the dead crank switch door... when I turn the switch to ON, I remember to unplug the power cord hanging out of the side of the machine.

Which NOCO Genius Charger for MEP-803A?

There are numerous places it could be mounted (like right above the dead crank switch on the inside). On the machine I provided info on, it had an arctic preheater kit on it, which took up that space. Take your time once the part is in your hand, and decide what makes sense for your life. On the...

Which NOCO Genius Charger for MEP-803A?

There are ways and places to mount, but here is one on an 802: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/mep-emergency-jump-starting.183609/page-2#post-2179598 It has since been taken off that machine (and that machine sold), but its to go onto another 802 I have here when I get around to it.

Which NOCO Genius Charger for MEP-803A?

Yes I use this solution, works well. I also picked up a G7200 just for charging up batteries separately. Let me find the thread where it shows the Genm2 in use.

Hey Jeremy. Nice to hear from you. In this ever less secure world, relationships matter. Glad to do my part.

Not a vote of confidence earned lightly... thanks Guy.

    MEP-802A/803A S1 Master Switch Source - Electroswitch

If memory serves, these new switches from Electroswitch require you to reuse the little jumper cable thats included on your factory builds, to the new one. They do not come with a new replacement.

    mep gen sets

802 and 803 are single or 3ph. 804 and larger are 3PH only (so you can get 1PH from 2 of the legs, but its not advisable for extended durations). Is the 18A figure the run rating, or the start rating? Do you need to concurrently run both heaters? I also have a propane furnace, a wood stove, 2...

I'm not seeing where I am wrong...Info Please!

As these sets have mechanical oil pumps, if its got pressure... its got pressure. Even if it drifts after everything warms up and thins out. But interesting to follow what happens with your set after you are done. Keep us abreast?

    mep gen sets

Do you have electric heat, or any high draw items in your home? Do you have all electric appliances? Wood heat? 803s are a whole LOT of machine... some folks just want to keep the lights on, cook some food, make sure they have heat. Other folks want to run a private airport... what do YOU want...

Without a doubt. Im sure if you are patient enough, you will find what you want.

    MEP-802A/803A S1 Master Switch Source - Electroswitch

At least this info was valid back in February, when I had inquired with them. The whole corona thing put my order on hold.

Generator purchase assistance needed SouthEast 10kW

Ray is a good dude with good machines. So is Jimmy, a bit closer to you. I've sold sets all over the US, it all comes down to trust (I ship them via common carrier). I even had a chap come down from Nova Scotia (a 12 hour drive one way) to procure from me. I don't think you are going to find...

What specifically are you looking to power? As Guy said... that should be your true driving force in deciding if the 803 is even the right platform for you.

I'm not seeing where I am wrong...Info Please!

If all of this work was undertaken solely because of the factory gauge reading... well I wouldn't bet the family farm on the gauge if I had to. Its real easy to add an honest manual oil pressure gauge to these sets. I forget the user who first posted up the mod, but I just did it on an NOS 802A...

    MEP 803A fuel pump replacement

In the future, since the primary E1074 pump from Airtex has gone away again it seems, I believe you could have used the E8131 (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/atx-e8131). The body is the same size, you would just need to adapt the mounting slightly, and cobble some of the angle fittings off...

MEP 003A, CB2 DC Circuit Breaker Trip

The cheapest I found the Facet 480517E was at Yacht Supply Depot (https://www.yachtsupplydepot.com/), but their website doesn't seem to be working now... Was previously $189/ea. This is the same OEM unit that Green Mountain has up, with the in line EMI filter. There are other pumps that have...
