Do your pumps still have the inline EMI filter? Have you disconnected the pumps and tried to turn the S1 on and see if the breaker still pops?
If there is a short in that block, they can be cut out and the wires respliced.
It all depends on climate. To me, with the service interval required... any weight should be obtainable in such small quantities for civilian use. Its not like you are keeping a fleet operational. You don't get very harsh winters in MD, so you do have leeway in what you run.
If the engine is...
I just ran some sheet metal screws through the outside of the case and located it in place, and painted it to match in place. I'll see if I can find a photo (I no longer have that machine).
Edit:
Is the angle iron on these sets of sufficient size to bolt directly to, or did you run an intermediate piece of metal, bolted to the frame, which these are mounted on?
Ive seen it done a few different ways, but I dont see a dimensional drawing on the mounting face of the 4770, so I'm guessing.
These lines can be replaced with Gates Safety Stripe fuel line and small worm gear hose clamps. Cut the metal fitting off, pull the bad line off the barbs, and cut a new length of fuel line, clamp in place... check for leaks...
Allied has them for 7 cents a piece, no idea what freight would be. https://www.alliedelec.com/product/bourns/mov-14d151k/70231725/ (When I bought mine here, it was free overnight shipping which they have since discontinued).
Any update on reducers needed? Looks like its 1/2" NPT on the NAPA base part called out above. I think the lines from the pumps to the filters are 5/16 JIC if anyone cares to confirm before I break out the books.
I've had a dozen here at once over various times. Herds been thinned lately, but I won't lie saying it was a reassuring feeling knowing I get pick of the litter.
As you know from above, there are 2 key items to test and rule out here. Both called out in the TM as directed. Should be able to arrive at your answer rather quickly based on the TM info.
So I was putting a new battery cable between the two batteries on an 002A and got my sign that it was time to do this mod... fired it up and after 30 seconds the water seperator starting blowing fuel out of the petcock. It knew....
Fleet Filters got a great price on the remote base tonight...
Did you need any fittings to mate the stock fuel lines to this, or was it drilled to accept the same size? Did the remote base come with mounting bolts?
I recall seeing a thread (and I think a SS member used to make a kit) to remove the OEM canisters and get an upgraded filtration system in place. Anyone help me recollect what I read? Thanks
No transfer isnt possible. I don't know if they are still up there, but the OEM separator was on fleabay recently in quantity. That way you can retain the drip line. I personally dont mind just tucking a coffee can under a non OEM filters and seeing what comes out.
