If you move quick, you can get a used adapter on the cheap (and source your own threaded red brass pipe) https://greenmountaingenerators.com/product/military-fuel-drum-adapter-nsn-2910-00-066-1235/
In laws coming over soon, and need some thorough reading so as to avoid them? https://www.wbdg.org/FFC/NAVFAC/DMMHNAV/hdbk419a_vol1.pdf ;)
I would absolutely be grounding that puppy for safety reasons! Takes but a second for it to all go horribly wrong. Its a real good document to peruse...
They are 3PH machines only, versus 1/3PH selectable like the 803 and smaller. Yes, you can tap two of three legs, but then you are back to the output of the 803 (and not better off for it). Do you have a need for 3PH power only?
I had to use the biggest pair of adjustable vice grips I had to wrestle one off yesterday, threw the slip filter wrench in the trash I was so fed up with it. I'll give the pliers a go. Thanks

I have (2) LTT-TQG trailers coming in this week, and need to put (1) 803A on one for a pickup next weekend (the other will be used down the line). I appreciate the offer Bob. If you just want to measure them, that will help just as much (Can have some arrive next business day by MSC/Fastenal...
Does anyone know the bolt size for the trailer mounted MEP units? I had dismounted one previously... and can't seem to find where I squirreled them away to. I definitely see them called out in the TM 9-6115-659-13&P, but not unique identifier info.
Thanks for your help.
