    interstate batteries U6TL lame warranty

I recently switched from Walmart one year warranty to the two year warranty ones. But that said, this past fall I bought a USAF deuce out of Ft. Lewis that had Optima red top gel batteries, and according to the tags both went into service in 1997. That truck cranked fast and started right up...

    brakes locking up

I've had this problem on two trucks, and both times they were master cylinder issues. Check the easy first. You can pull the MC boot and see if the MC piston is returning reliably back to the keeper ring. You should have a little "wiggle" in the plunger with the piston fully retracted to the...

    Diesel exhaust color meaning?

WSU, I tip my hat to you for owning that one. Particularly since I did the same thing last weekend. I wonder what the -10 says about snow packed around the air intake. Mayhaps someone will ring in with that answer... Are you all having fun over there yet, with the weather? We've...

    New Guy with Questions

Welcome, Randy. looks like there's enough yard there to move the truck back and forth 20 feet to be sure all gears and ranges engage. If so, I'd jump on it. It's worth that as a parts truck. OPcom, he's in Texas fer cryin' out loud. Those kind of women are thick as fleas down there (or...

    Head light problem

Start with the bulb ground, and continuity isn't the only concern. A bad ground can test okay with a meter, but not carry the amperage required. My .02

What to look for in used M35a2?

I've run mine consistently on Walmart's 29 batteries, which have always cranked rapidly in cold weather. Problem is, those batteries are about 45 bucks now. Also, when I picked up my new deuce at Ft. Lewis in September, it fired like it had new batteries in it. When I got home, I looked and...

    Deuce pickup advice needed

Were it me, I'd take some brake fluid. I'd get in the cab and mash the brake pedal hard, and if it didn't weep down, I'd fill the MC and drive it away. It takes trifling little loose brake fluid to look like a heck of a mess. If I recall correctly, you aren't going terribly far, like 55...

    Which Harbor Freight impact wrench?

Thanks, all. Sounds like it's the cheapo 1 inch gun for me. I like the CFM of the 3/4 Earthquake, but not the price.

    Which Harbor Freight impact wrench?

I've see posts recently regarding Harbor Freight 1" impact wrenches that work well for lug nuts. I looked at their website and found two, so are you all using the $150 cheapo impact wrench or the $299 cheapo impact wrench? TIA. I may suggest to Santa that she find a stocking big enough to...

Well, I had to get something to carry the missle cases...

If the end that opens is to the rear, then you just need to overlap the front corners the other way, so the fold-over is on the sides rather than the front. Nice lookin' truck.

    m35a2 fuel pump

Your impression is correct, Drop. The pump is constant on when accessory (main) switch is on. Pump is a small centrifugal pump, and with switch on with engine not running, and with low air buzzer also not running, the pump can be heard as a hum or soft whir.

I could use some help with something

Start with a grade 5 1/2 by 3, NF or NC. Cut the head off, to length. Have a machinist turn the unthreaded shank to 0.396 diameter. Thread with a 10 MM tap of the desired thread pitch.

New tier, any seen it before?

An auto tire, Michelin, I think, is working on car tires made that way.
