Lights flickered a few times, but we still have power. No snow either... stayed all rain where we are. Still going to be windy through the day though (moved a bunch of assets around the yard and away from trees, as driving home from work looked like a bomb zone of branches everywhere).
Power...
Believe my wife still has power... we have power here in Western MA still. Its going to be wicked in Eastern MA tonight. Gonna hook up the 10k I am in the middle of testing (overload light in non-overload condition) when I get home so I have something at the ready (past my 25 year old Honda gas...
Basically my sentiment on these 831s, even without ever having to wrench on one. They sound like little unreliable nightmares from all of the threads I have read on them.
I haven't seen it done on the stock housing, but I suppose its possible. Is there a reason why you are trying to do this? Is it of a matter of convenience? You could probably remove the filter in the can, and cut an in-line filter into the incoming fuel line behind it?
Yeah most of the time we are going to be fine... but its real nice to have when we get into the -15 range in some winter spots each year. I hear you 100% on the time in the day comment... past the increased auction baselines, I have so many other things that need to occupy my time right now that...

Yes, a very rare arctic heater kit. I have one on an 802 in my posession. Diesel fired plumbed into the cooling system to preheat. About $4k option when new, if memory serves from the last thread on it.
My comment is still true. I am glad you have been given a link to parts. I hope they work for you. Thats the thing I hate the most about this forum... the discouragement of sharing links to parts based on where they are found. Does the forum, and its hive-like memory, no justice for future users...
Why not just replace it with a new Wix (with bottom drain spout) and be done? You just need to drain into a coffee can or something as needed, instead of having the line go out of the case.
Well the question had been answered for you, before my reply. No need to restate. Suppose my reply was more for the poster of the lmgtfy link originally. I'm here to help... god forbid I try to have some fun while doing so. The world is too **** serious these days. I'll still help you if I can...
Yeah don't want to squeeze the case and distort the metal. It does have an integrated skid... you could always put down plywood or something onto ramps and just pull the thing off the trailer. It will slide... just have to get it moving first!
